Then, I will make a backward replacement for you. Sounds good? wink.gif

I'm actually already in touch with Wang Hong about this, we'll sort something out I suppose.

Still, before anything is done: are you absolutely 100% sure that nothing will be retuned or revised again with HE400s to resolve the piercing treble? I would not wanna backward-replace only to find out that you guys eventually still revised the drivers again.

@ Eric

It's evidently obvious that you guys retuned the yellow magnet housing drivers to be a different sound signature by many posts here in this customer service thread..That yellow magnet housing was labeled v3 by many users here that acquired them..

With that being said I would also assume that it's safe to say if I purchased a white magnet housing driver which should be rev2's sound signature "warm and not overly bright in the treble/ higher end?", that's what I'd get??

Just curious

Thanx Eric..

ahhh, just what the f***! mad.gif I've been reading threads for three months, and when I actually pull the trigger on the HE-400 and even buy TWO PAIRS, everybody starts to dislike the new revision and even returning the mighty (up until now) $400 headphone. So I'll wait for the headphones to travel half the globe for what... I'm just so disappointed, why the third revision? You are obliged to tell us why, what was so wrong with the second revision with the white plastic that everybody adored, it was too perfect? WHAT?

Qc issues was a minor problem with v2.. Some but very little were having imbalance issues between the two drivers with their set but again only a handful had issues.

Hey for all we know it was alot more only HiFi man would know that and that being said would prompt yet another revision change in which got us here to rev3.

In pursuit of reliability at the cost of sonic changes..

Please find a solution to this problem, if i have to send them back and pay for it that it's fine, but i want to have a headphone with rev2 sound!

Hi Erik!

Could you possible tell me at least a time frame (is it this year or spring/summer/fall next year, just roughly) when the next HIFIMAN product(s) is coming out?

Im about to pull the trigger on the HE-500 but would like to know if something from you is released until the end of the year, in a similar price range rolleyes.gif

I really wouldnt want to buy the HE-500 just to discover that the HE-50/5000/60/600/6000 is coming out soon wink.gif

Thank you very much again.

Sincerely, Luke

Yes, exactly. What you get is the rev.2 which sounds warm and not overly bright in the treble.

Honestly, we do not have the plan to revise the drivers again. However, we could if possible.

In my opinion, you have two options so far:

1. Back-replace to the rev.2 (white drivers);

2. Wait to forward-replace to the future rev.4 if it exists.

What do you think?

Sorry, dude. We do have some rev.2 in stock currently, but we do not have so many that you expected. As a matter of fact, we just have a few in factory and not for sale any more.

If you really stick to back-exchange to the rev.2, we can arrange the replacement for you soon. But in advance we have to talk about the detail via head.direct.customerservice@gmail.com

Hey i bought a second hand HM-601 but didn't receive much information about the warranty and can't contact the buyer. However, a while ago i accidentally spoilt the HM-601. Any possible way for me to get it repaired. I'm located in Singapore. thanks

Got it, bro. I was just noticed by Dr. Bian

Thanks a lot.

Since our boss already told everybody how to fix this issue, you may not worry any more about the rev.3. wink.gif

Still have questions, feel free to ask.

Then we gonna hand it in to our boss in no time.

No worries, budy. Since you didn't get the item directly from us, you can still get it repaired by us. However, you just need to pay a little for that repair or replacement.

We highly recommend replacement not repair just because the repair will take much more time.

If you can wait that long, we also can repair it for you.

Hi dear,

I'm so glad to hear from you, and thanks so much for your concerning.

Actually, we do not have the plan recently for the release of a new headphone, but we will keep going to improve the sound quality, structural integrity whatever it is at any cost.

So, patiently wait a period of time for the new headphone coming out.

Your patience will not let you down in the end.  cool.gif
