There are lots still that I'm particularly curious about (those not accessible in Japan of course) - Heir Audio (yet), Aurisonics (yet), FrogBeats, and the list goes on.

Well next time I come to Tokyo, you can try my 5.0 and any other I will have by then :) Maybe ASG2 if I can my hands on them....

The "yet" has a hidden meaning. But naturally would appreciate trying anything that fellow head-fiers have to offer, so thank you! Please let me know when/if you do come. It's actually the meeting face2face and chatting that's fun for me. I should be able to get to try the ASG2 this Thursday too.

I can finally join this thread with a IEM :D Just have got the R^2 (RSquared). It is their dual dynamic model and seems to come in a similar housing as the RDB2V1 i think. Mine as Shure/MMCX connectors as well which is really cool! First little listen and i was expecting huge bass levels with it being dual dynamic but instead we have a really nice balance with the bass being not obtrusive at all. That could be caused by the AK100s dampening the as it is the only source i am yet to use!

EDIT:

Just paired with iPhone 4 and instantly i notice a different, still great bass but certainly a little bit more!

Yes, i am very tempted with the idea of the Mod 2 but i am still not that sure. And thanks for the praise on the video! I will keep you updated on how im finding them for sure!

i am curious to hear how much difference there is between RWA and Mod2 before thinking about this.

as of present i am very happy with RWA, however i do not have AK100 for comparison so can base myself only on others opinions.

btw, visited your site and read some reviews, nice. so see finally you aknowledged Musical Fidelity EB50 :-D

do not get me wrong, EB50 are not the most exciting IEMs but for hard core audiophiles coming from big front end rigs EB50 is a rare breed that delivers a truly neutral sound across the entire spectrum and this what makes them precious from audiophile point of view.

btw, i am enjoying RDB+v1 on RWAK. why did not you jump to order them or v2 instead of R^2?

I think both mods have the same principle, they just use different grade wire.

Yes, if i was you i would stay happy with the RWAK100 :D

I reviewed a little bit back and have no complaints with it. What i was trying to say to you is that it does not say anything about what Musical Fidelity are able to achieve and all credit should go to Dunu, the makers of the IEM! One of the best things about the EB-50 is how little they do wrong across the board but i do wish they really excelled in a specific area.

Yes i have seen your impressions, they sound very nice. I got them for review and was not going to say no to their offering and so far i am VERY IMPRESSED with them. Best Dual Dynamic i have heard until now by a country mile. They really do know how to make an earphone!

Swimsonny, i agree but then i do not expect a 150 GBP IEM to sound like top make Lear or FitEar or similar. For sure there are many IEMs which will Wow you compared to EB50 but... as time goes EB50 grows on you and its amazing strength is neutral response and laser sharp accuracy. and in fact i agree for 99% with your review of EB50. And i am happy i was not alone to note that EB50 are very revealing about musical material so poor quality recording will sound just poor... but if quality is great sound will be great.

i just never try to expect megaton goodies for little pennies unlike some people who buy Fiat and complain this does not drive like Ferrari beyersmile.png

My mates over for the London meet tomorrow and he just a/bed the 1plus2 with the R^2 and he was not sure which he preferred and he guessed that the value on the latter was 1000 USD and was really impressed! More to come on them!

I guess it's going to kinda difficult to compare between the R^2 with the 1Plus2 but if possible (I'm not familiar with the R^2), can he try with the same cable on both IEMs?

Yesterday I met up with a friend who tried the 1Plus2 & RDB+ v1. Using the same cable & same tips, therefore the difference being only the IEM, two start to sound very close. This puts the RDB+ v1 to be very good value for money. But it also shows that 1Plus2's magic isn't solely in the IEM but a fair amount of credit needs to be given to the cable too.

Anak, what are your impressions between v1 and v2? i am all curious to hear about it.
