The design I have chosen is this one. (please do not quote the bores on this design as it's only the colour scheme and carbon fibre facplates I have chosen) You can select from preset UE ports or recessed Westone or Shure ports. (I'm not sure how much extra the recessed ports are)

I'd go with the recessed sockets. Those clear mounds just aren't that appealing to me. I'm not that about looks but I generally think plugs already stick out to much without adding to their height and those have an added on look. Maybe they're flush now as those pics are obviously dated.

8 strands of OCC copper.

Make sure you zoom and check it out, the preset image size doesn't do it justice. Overall I enjoy this cable very much atm.

I'll take a good high-res photo when it gets to me with my 5DmkII wink_face.gif

i have an all red version of that cable, i am pretty sure mine is the same material (i will check)! It is also 8 braid and built like a tank. I just set it up with my Lear LCM-5 and it goes damn good with them! Will give it a little go with the Heir 3.Ai a little bit later!

Also given the little Zippo amp a go which looks amazing and is also BTG balanced. I think it gave a nice soundstage and smoothness on first listen! I obviously have to use the BTG balanced rhapsodio 4 braid cable with it!

Mine won't be leaving the house much, I consider them to expensive to take around town with me, the reason I chose UE ports is because upgrade cables are so common on ebay, gives me a lot of flexibility. Whether their flush I'm not sure the model we have on tour has flush ports. I have since been informed though by Rhapsodio that the model in that picture is exactly what I'll be buying. (that includes the bores)

You can take as many photo's as you like, wearing the cable certainly makes you feel "audiophile" either that or part mad scientist tongue.gif You can get some modeling shots in your bikini wearing the cable.

Swimsonny can you take a photo of the similar cable please? I would like to see it. I will be buying one of those cables shown in my photo from Rhapsodio. Gives a much fuller thicker sound than the silver one included, Both are good cables however I'm leaning for the copper more. my goal when the order is finished is to try a silver plated of some sort.

LOL After everybody saying I shouldn't pay attention to their web site etc, they now have bores.bigsmile_face.gif

Makes perfect sense about the cables. I should have considered that. If they're flush now, that would be great.

Thanks for taking time with the photo's Swimsonny, that little amp sure is intriguing. And the cable looks very similar indeed.

oh he got the brown-gold version of the cable we got. That one is pretty cool - best of flat and round cable in one with the interesting braiding imo.

Both the cables are OCC copper. Red 8 braid and single ended. Gold 4 braid and BTL balanced.

the amps awesome, so cool in the zippo.

theres gonna be a new RDB+ already? I did not know.

i am going to get the R(squared) a dual dynamic but would rather the RDB+.

yep, as far as I know the org RDB+ were meant to go h20->djvkool->anakchan, but that's now on hold, since there's not much point continuing to review a discontinued unit.
(I'm told) Rhapsodio are planning to send the improved RDB+ (no idea what the official name is or if it'll still be called that biggrin.gif ) sometime in March.
New 10mm DD, richer mids, better phase alignment and apparently acoustic filter behind the vent to maybe improve isolation and wind noise (don't quote me on that one biggrin.gif).

No I haven't heard the 1+2. But all I see in this threads are people trying to prove they are not related / not related any more. Where are the sound impressions? Where are the sound comparisons? Man this is a joke.

On another hand, I read Anakachan's review on the 1Plus2 and hmm it does relate to my experience with the RDB+, where he said he desires a bit more mids, and we both agree on how detailed the respective IEM's can get. Got me interested in hearing the 1Plus2.

Sorry for the late response on this. Seeing how the RDB+ is going through another revision. I actually fear I may not be able to compare both the 1Plus2 and new RDB+ side-by-side as I'll be parting ways with the 1Plus2 tomorrow. After having it for 6 weeks and working closely with the maker on the issues I have (sonic and build), I feel it isn't for me. The maker has been extremely helpful in trying every way he can to making it work for me but in the end quite a bit of effort was put into a premium product.

As such any comparisons the audience here may expect will be disappointed that it won't be a direct A/B comparison but one will have to based on memory. I'm actually trying to listen to the 1Plus2 as much as possible up to the last minute before I package and return the product to try to remember the sound as much as I can.

Whilst I can't post any pix of the 1Plus2 (esp on the translucent side due to some proprietary stuff going on there), externally the 1Plus2 and RDB+ seem to be quite similar in design - the grill filters in the port and nozzle. But there are some slight differences too such as the bass port on the RDB+ seems to be slightly larger than the 1Plus2. In addition the nozzle, on the RDB+ seems have a more pronounced lip which I welcome 'cos my Ortofon tips on the 1Plus2 kept falling out (or getting stuck in my ear when I yank the IEM out). Sonically, I feel I can relate to the RDB+ reviews written so far.

Will there be a price revision?
