post #32 of 4010/1/12 at 3:28pmsennheiser HD598. IMO the best balance of SQ, clamping force, pad material, and weight of any headphone I've sampled.
post #33 of 4010/1/12 at 3:49pmAkg k601 first place, Denon D2000 second.

Quote:Even so it´s not noise canceling the IE2 is very very comfortable. Sound quality is good but not great, I use them a lot when jogging in public because I can hear my environment, I don´t want to get hit by a car lol
My phillips fidelio L1 is the most comfortable headphone I own. However, sometimes It pressures the middle of my head when I´m standing.
My next headphones are going to be the Sennheiser Amperior, and the Logitech Ue9000. Not the most comfortable but they are well balanced in comfort and sound quality!!! what do you guys think?

HD650. After a few months of usage I find that the clamping force is now at a very good level; it's still there but the force is the right amount for a snug fit. Also the earpads have adjusted to my ears and now have a great fit, where they were a bit irritating right out of the box.
To me they're more pleasurable to wear than the 598, which I feel may be a bit loose and hard-feeling compared to the 650. Ofcourse the 598 has the single-cable connection which makes it feel a little more 'free' if you will.
But they're both very comfortable :)

agree 100% once the clamping tames down, because it's a little unsettling before that. I think the earpad/cups need to be a little bit bigger though (obviously they did this with later models) the pad JUST fits over my ear, but is a little cramped in that velour cone.
