I'm looking for something with a heavy bass, (Large Drivers) such as the XB500 or XB1000. Preferably over ear and closed cans, but I'm fine with open cans. Over ear is mandatory though. Price range doesn't really matter, as long as it's reasonable to buy. (under 1000$)

Don't know if sarcasm or just very nice compliment.

Do you care more about bass quality or quantity?

Not sure if the OP is still in need of any feedback after three years, he may have made a decision by now.

Thought it might be helpful for future threadgoers. Just got mine and am loving them.

I jumped in particularly because the dt 990 pro was recommended. I bought those in the 32 ohm premium version after hearing they had strong bass, but I was hugely disappointed and returned them ASAP.

The quality and quantity of the SZ2000 bass (and other frequencies) on the other hand, has far exceeded my expectations.

IMO the bass on these just adds whole new levels of depth and dimensionality to everything-games, music, movies-without taking anything else away.

Pure sound joy. My audio fun has now been taken to the next level and I just wanted to share my 2 cents for anyone else that may come upon this thread in a quest for boom.

Long live high quality audio experiences!
