22 people in!
I doubt anyone will still come in the group except for perhaps William007.

It's gonna be a good meet. I'm really looking forward to Sunday.

Cool stuff, gonna be a really cool meet, my first one ever, I'm excited.. and will prolly do some jawdropping there heh!

Back to what I promised, the B2 and CX-300 comparison, stupid as it may be.

Yes. I mean, YES, what a difference the B2's are from the CX-300. Repeated parts of songs with the CX-300 after listening with the B2's and.. exactly where I started off with this whole thing.. once I had the CX-300's in I instantly had the feeling "i don't like this song, don't wanna listen to this type of music now". Of course, along the usual "Oh my god this is muddy, sounds like someone's holding a pillow on the microphones" and whenever the bass comes in "What is happeniiiiiing, where have the other frequencies gone!". I'd rather listen to my server's live noise than putting in the CX-300's.

Something I didn't really expect, is that the Fiio E6 actually _does_ to my ears improve the sound behind the Clip+, even audible on the old CX-300.. more clarity and seperation it seems like. That is, with the Clip+ at 34/60 volume (the original limitation), no EQ on either one. Could it be the changed impedance, or something?

I might be bringing a Auralic Taurus headphone amp and a ZO2 along on Sunday as well, if I manage to pick it up in Essen before I depart for Heerlen.

I'd like to hear that ZO2! Always wondered about it's use.

Received word from William007 that he can't join us... So the CDP-101 won't be there :-(

But that means I'm free again for other carpoolers.... biggrin.gif

Bawww.
At the beginning he was one of the most enthusiastic members. It's sad to see he can't come.

Maybe he got grounded? Or his parents didn't want him to get in a car with a fat, bearded stranger... Or his parents saw pics of Negakinu biggrin.gif

Maybe he has 'big groups in small places' anxiety biggrin.gif because..wow..the group is bigger then i expected..at least 22 headfi loons! all packed together in one room.....tongue.gif am just wondering..as my particular headphone oozes lots of noise to the outside world and with quieter music i hear everything around me...and that can sometimes be a bit annoying for both parties concerned..did the organisator think about putting people with those kind of phones a bit apart? He can do that by the list we provided what we would bring along and make a raw sketch of how to place the noiciest people far far far far faaaar away..hahaha biggrin.gif seriously..with so many people i can imagine if someone reaaly want a serious listen experience with an open backed headphone u need a bit of rest around u.. smily_headphones1.gif
Well..maybe i am nitpicking...but have a thought bout it..people with closed or in ear phones wont have this problem ofcourse..so they can all be put on one table and the open phone owners will have the other 21 tables wink.gif..KIDDING!
And another thing..i read here it starts at 11:00..does that mean u must have ur rig up and running also or does it mean the door opens at 11:00....or can u enter when u want? As that will make the morning a bit hectic to say the least.. redface.gif
