derailing the thread, but also the individual components are chosen for maximum profit and not necessarily for quality and performance. Show me a sound card using vishay dales or halcros.

This is insane. Head-Fi is growing and the growth process will inevitably produce some pain. I think that the growth is perfectly normal and whatever complaints are being made about the quality of information herein is to be expected from time to time. Don't you guys remember how much quality speculation -> reviews are generated whenever a new product is introduced to the market? That's a sign of we as a community pouring out our love for this obsessive and addictive hobby of ours. Watch, we are going to make a small revolution in the HI-FI world in the next 5 - 10 years.
