E11 with E17?

My E11 broke on the line in.

No idea.

So I'm probably(99% probably)getting the E17 next weekend.

My question is would it be worth getting the E11 repaired to have a E11 + E17 combo?(I use
the amp mainly although I've been wanting a DAC for awhile and decided for the E17)
I have the Denon 5000's so I know it'd get powered by either one. That's not really my concern
I would just like to know what other headfiers would do in my position.
Should I get my E11 repaired to have a overkill portable source? confused_face_2.gif
Would it make a difference in sound if I used both compared to the E17 alone?

I don't think it's necessary. Fiio E17 has a very good amp already.

Shame how the E11 broke on ya. But, just a notice, I found the E11 to be the better sounding Amp IMO. I upgraded the E7 to the E11 and I tried the E17 and didn't find it to be any better than the E11 in terms of amping.

Well I actually fixed my E11 by myself. It was great tearing threw plastic. Let it be known my E11 survived getting washed and dried by my girlfriend but in the end a solder came off so I just resoldered and it was good to go.

But now I have a real question if I wanted to use both the E11 and E17 which way should I do it? I have an iPod Touch so
iPod-->e17-->e11-->Denon 5000?
Or vice versa on the amps?
I like the E11 on the way it does the bass but I also enjoy how the E17 does the bass.
