Very thankful.

I really don't like the general audience of Reddit geeks. Very hipsterish and self righteous but with decent backing sources.

Reddit is a hole. I try and avoid the bigger reddits.

Yes yes I know

It's so interesting though.

But half the stuff is wrong, not from the right source, no backing, sensationalist titles, etc.

Waste of time and effort arguing with simpletons, I'll let natural selection weed them from the tree.

I just posted it on the other thread. But their thinking is vastly influenced by their country (Western) which is hilarious when topics of N Korea comes up.

No, they are not cute. And it doesn't matter if they mean business or not. Their tech isn't new, but they do have one of the largest militaries and navies in the world and will wreck schiit through Seoul of which many people live there.

Yep

its official

Nvidia is butt hurt that AMD won the console market for the next decade and is trying to discredit them and AMD is butt hurt Nvidia won the desktop market and is trying to discredit them

In the end, both are butt hurt and are trying to discredit each other in each others fields. Especially Nvidia.

The funny part is how opposite switchy everything is if you think about it.

Insider Analysysts more or less tell us what we already know AMD has a MASSIVE advantage over Nvidia in. Intergration, efficency, offloading, and all that next gen APU stuff and they are better at making their stuff work with the companies and doing what they want as AMD has also had dibs with the current gen consoles.

And as for Nvidia getting blows from AMD. AMD are discrediting their new releases of better efficent chips and new blah blah's as being crap and not really going to do it.

Breakdown of butt hurtedness with consoles:
AMD: Efficency, intergration, working and connections with companies
Nvidia: Low intergrated, not efficent hardware and little connections with companies or people

and each claim the other can't do it.

Breakdown of butt hurtedness with computers:
AMD: Pushes out un efficent pure power equipment.
Nvidia: efficency, more intergration on a desktop platform.

It's like they took a switch in each other field and each departement of said company are doing butt hurt blows at each other for things that are hilarious as their other departement fails at them.

I wouldn't call what I have read of it so far "smart" it seems like it wants to seem smart, but once again I will talk more about it once I play it; this is just speculation from what I have read about plot points and bits of the story.

Not Game of our entire generation though.

The story seems very vanilla and very up front for what it is; using quantum physics as a "depth finder" does nothing for me; its still the same story with "we can manipulate time or something sometimes a little bit". I loved the first one for the allusion of Adam and Eve to heroin/drugs; the more you use the better it gets the more you want. You're hooked and will do anything to get your fix; your faced with the choice of killing a little girl to get a bigger fix and taking down her guardians; scavenging and stealing.  Rapture was supposed to be a city unchained but it was really just a city run by crooked shadow figures and getting its citizens hooked on false freedoms. Bioshock had a straightforward story BUT it also had subtly and subtext.

I plan on playing it soon hopefully and I will keep an eye open for subtleties in the story; reading the plot line...it seems pretty thin.

ummm

Spoiler tag it please.

It pretty much is thin.

Playing the first Bioshock, it's hard to believe these games (more or less) run on the same engine. It's kind of hard to believe they are even from the same generation.

The graphics on Bioshock are so dated it hard for me to get sucked into the game like I once was. The lack of clutter, piss-poor textures, and any foliage there is looks like it's made of plastic. It really detracts from the experience.

It is just an issue of detecting your first oppression. Bioshock already look dated when it was released. Infinite look dated as well if you put on your analytical glasses. But for me a few days and your imagination makes up for our of its a good game. Really hard to play graphics.
