the only thing in the entire game that made me smile wide and get excited is when Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
they went back down into rapture and let you into that one room.

I was smiling like a 10 year old on Christmas

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Going back to Rapture was indeed awesome. It's why I decided to play the first Bioshock again.

Anyhoo, I certainly didn't think Infinite was bad, and I'm actually a little excited for DLC. There's a lot they could do, given the themes the game deals with.

Not at all. Streamlined game play and everything. Great enviroment. Game ran well, plot worked well.

It was a solid game. A VERY solid game. But that is really the extent of it.

Bioshock 1 and 2 were just better games

I'll disagree with that. Bioshock 1 was a different game to Infinite and by no means better or worse. Bioshock 2 was, in my opinion, worse.

I forgot to type that. We shouldnt compare because they are different fames

I preferred B2 for more streamlined gameplay but B1 has plot and atmosphere feel

Please dump Bioshock 1 and 2 on their laps and some Deus Ex HR (great gameplay as well) before they spill coffee over this entire generation of games.

Bioshock Infinite was good. Different. But not generation fantastic.

yeah, I'm still waiting to play this game...but based on what I have read the story seems very pretentious and takes its self far to serious for what its offering.

You kinda hit the nail on the hammer.

Imagine sitting in some low level Math class and all of a sudden out of nowhere. A student goes up to the board and explains and does a pretty brilliant math formula.

....yeah, its really smart and all. But seriously?
