Oh yeah, Slender - The Arrival is $5 for preorder/beta until March 26.

(I'll post screenies of the Beta once it downloads, 350 Megs... I get 50 KB/S.)

And now Destiny will head to the PS3, Xbox 360, and future next gen consoles late this year or early next year. But not to PC.

Rumour. No actual data. But I don't doubt it.

Don't care. Don't play shooters. Bungie can take their console schiit and ram it where the sun don't shine.

Hey Guys!

Well my G15 V1 keyboard finally packed it in... frown.gif

So I am looking for a back lit keyboard that is relatively quiet, has no idiot keys and a couple of USB ports would be handy but not necessary.

Wireless is not required either and under $100 would be nice.

Recommendations?

Thanks!

Razer Blackwidow Stealth (try to get it on sale or get BB to price match)

Das professional or Ultimate soft tactile versions

Basically, at $100, all the top motherboard makers are now moving to Mechanical keyboards.

Mechanical keyboards are more or less the 'ultimate' keyboards out there. Quite a few major companies made them but not until this year did they more or less replace the majority of gaming/pc enthusiast centered companies lines with them.

Logitech's #1 keyboard flagship is mechanical, and so is Corsair and Razer's. Microsoft also has one but not their flagship.

Only problem is that they are not very quiet.

The Razer's have USB on the side.

I was surprised to just learn that Blackberry did an AMD. Their official company name and trading name was Research in Motion (RIM) up until last year or two years ago. But a descision was made that NOBODY knows what the hell Research in Motion was and that it was the company in charge of Blackberry stuff so they just changed the trading name and the official name to Blackberry, but the company is still Research in Motion.

Weird.

Lolz..weird indeed..never knew what rim stood for.now i know..thanks..

Steelseries has a very good one also..very simple design..no flashy leds or colored buttons..just a keyboard built like a tank..and heavy like one..lolz....just as i like them..if u want backlit..well buy a usb led light and stick it to ur monitor pointing to ur keyboard..and voila..keyboard lit.wink.gif

Razers are meh. If you're lucky you'll get one where the alt key doesn't get stuck on the space bar.

The only problem with that type of thinking is human perception of problems or the actual quantity of it.

Say Company X has 1% failure or problem rate. They make 300 things. 3 people get broken schiit things. 2 of them go post it online. So now we have many people reading or just seeing those 2 problemed reviews.

Company X  later has a problem rate of .5% and makes 1000 items. 50 people are now pissed. 35 of them go give bad feedback while 20 actually write bad reviews.

People tend to go back and rate items and write feedback when schiit fails. I personally sadly have that happen to me on newegg too. I've only ever went back and given feedback on the parts I bought 6 times out of the 50+ stuff I've ever bought on that site.

It deals with human perception of the numbers a lot.

Razer is one of the top brands in the gaming , enthusiast, and consumer world. They sell tens of millions of units a year.

Their problem rate of course is really high. I am not trying to undermine the amount of complaints. Those complaints do mean a lot. It means you better be careful. But it should also be known that there are many that will actually work as well.

So I took that chance, and got mine at Best Buy so that in case anything happens, I can return it. Nothing happened.

With that said, I will probably not buy anything else from Razer.

I like to back under dogs and take worldly views. But for personal opinion, they aren't a company I actually like. Their Synapse software....is problem.

Ducky DK2108 Mechanical. No backlight, but most fullsize mechanicals with backlights are pricey. It's basically a shine 2 sans the backlight.

In other news, my new water looping in now bleeding with not obvious problems. May redo the lop in a month or so with some right angle fittings for neater looks though.

What, bleeding? That just means I'm removing air from the loop.

(If only I was rich...)

I used one of those... They're meh to say the least. NO point in watercooling a xbox...
