Now I just have to figure out what to do with my old 970. Seems like there's a decent used market for it...

Your 970 will be an easy sell ... if you are a member, then post it at overclock.net ... price it right and it should sell really fast ....

I've been watching the Pascal cards and might upgrade from my x2 980's but only a Titan X or a 1080ti ...

I think that you had an overkill setup and you're going for an overkill setup :D

Do you have 4k / multiple monitor setup to use the gaming power ?

Ended up giving it to a friend. Sorta feel bad because I had a buyer lined up here, but my friend is kinda hard-up so it really made his day to get it. :o

I have a 4K screen but I don't use it ... I prefer the higher frame rates that I get with my 1440p G Sync screen ... and yeah, sort of going for overkill ... spending money on computer gear is one of my favorite hobbies.  It's why I drive a 16 year old Nissan Sentra ... ;-) ... priorities and all ...

Having a lot of GPU power doesn't mean that he needs a 4K monitor... there are other reasons to have **** tons of it.

OF course!

But having that kind of power, having a really good adobeRGB monitor is just like icing on a cake!
