I had the Modular HX750W break on me. Warranty return was great, but I replaced it with a BeQuiet(highly regarded in Europe) model instead.

That's a lot of extra power for your current specs, especially the 1200W. You would be fine with a 500W, most specs would. I remember running a stock i7 950 and GTX 460 from a Corsair CX400 when my HX750 was out. Coped fine, even if it was probably at the limit of it's efficiency curve.

Lol I have higher than you in everything except harddrive.. and then my overall score is like 1 point lower. I have like a 5.5 or something for my data xfer LOL.

Well, I just ordered this PSU:

And a DVD drive for my mom's computer. 

I realized that giving her my old PSU would not be a good idea, because if this one went out, I could replace mine in about 20 minutes, while it might be a month or two before I get back to town to replace it for her...
