Where did you order from?
Amazon. It's been around a moth now, so idk if I am return or something. I'll call Corsair too.

You could possibly replace the front panel jack:

Would hate to disassemble the desktop and wait for my case >.>

Noticed the screen resolution and was so disappointed.

So funny that it says "stunning clarity" when it's barely over 720p and below my preferred 1080p.

I said that too.

Has anyone here messed with rebates from PowerColor? I'm contemplating picking up their 7850 that's $90 after rebate from Newegg but I'm getting mixed reports of some people having issues with the rebate and others having no problem. Performance to price seems pretty good with the card, but then again I also see a handful of reviews where the card needed to be replaced shortly after purchase. But I guess there's always a few bad ones in the bunch. People are saying this card is pretty quiet at full load, which is a bonus for me.

Yep. I did two of them. All worked fine.

DO FRICKING NOTE. I am pretty good at Rebates because I read every single piece of paper, condition, and warning that comes my way and I do a crap ton a year.

HOWEVER, PowerColor's Rebate system is very different. The mass majority of Rebates go through the same company. Those are easy to do. But PowerColor's is a bit different. A lot different.

You need to find specific code thingy ma bobs, and it was slightly tricky what it was that they wanted until you do it. Step 4, the write your rebate number here part. It's not on the rebate form you see on Newegg. It will come in an Email. There generally aren't two step redundancy stuff like this with rebates so it threw me off.

But if you follow and do it correctly. You'll be fine.

Thanks for the info. I'm pretty meticulous when it comes to reading rebate information fully. I've seen one before that required all boxes be filled out in capital letters with black ink, no other color would be accepted. (I thought that was kind of weird, too.) So if they do pay out when following directions I think I'll jump on this one. I want a simple card that'll serve me well until the Maxwell cards come out and I think this one should serve me nicely. Then again, I may wait for PowerColor's July sale on the HD 7870. They've been on sale several times over the last 2 months and the last price was $105 AR.

Do you have either of those cards, panda? Are they quiet like some people have reported?

You should have done the other deal then

$35 for 6870's.... Approx the performance, a dime in the bucket that you save. And hell, you could have grabed two of them for Crossfire if you wanted to get pretty dayum good performance on AAA games (that are older and have good support for CFx).

And then once you done, sell it for a slight profit or even just give it back.

Wait, I missed 6870 for $35? O_o. Wow, that's a heck of a thing to miss. When did that happen?

Less than a week ago....

http://www.reddit.com/r/buildapcsales/comments/2964ty/gpu_xfx_radeon_hd_6870_1gb_gddr5_3497_no_rebate/

New with NO stupid MIR to go through......so yeah. Buy as many as you want, peace of mind, no forms.

..Much better deal in a sense than a 7850 for $100 with MIR imo.....but that may just be me. Especially considering you just need a card to tide you over.

Well damn. I'm not a redditer so I guess I didn't stand a chance of finding that. Oh well, my loss. Maybe I should keep an eye on that page just in case it comes back. Thanks for the heads up.

But yeah, sweet deals. Much better than others for a tide down.

Is it just me or did going from ALAC to 320 just make everything sound different...?

Check your encoding. Some converter/encoders have digital effect add ons.

But hey, you may just hear something. But do note, more often than not, it is placebo, screwed up encoding, or settings.
