Meh, would have spent $10 more and gotten a NZXT Source 220 instead. Cable management looks like a nightmare in the V3. I don't even seen a back panel area or cable management cutouts.

I just picked up what was in the store for cheap at the time, it was described as "dank" by some guy there and I figured it wouldn't be as bad as it was.

the license key is a mass use license key. Forgot the terminology for it.

However it is illegal to use it otherwise and your logins are recorded as you need to be on campus to download it and sign in to your account to access it.

The unviersity provides you with access to a VPN to on campus networks to access on campus materials though. I have the VPN set up naturally but never have to use it obviously.

Illegal maybe, but as far as Microsoft actually caring?  I actually called Microsoft once when I couldn't get my Office 2007 to work with a pirated key.  The person on the phone told me that it was an illegal key, and gave me a working one haha

My first rejoices of going to a Tech College.

So basically unlimited keys

Your University isn't a part of the Dreamspark program?  It seems oddly suspicious that you would need a VPN, be on campus, etc..

XD

MS Office checks activation using KMS, same w/ Win 8 and onwards so just simply using one of the KMS solutions out there to switch the server is enough. Not all that nice to have a command prompt appear quickly on login but I guess it's solid until that server goes down.

The quick SLIC solution in Windows 7 and before was much more elegant (although also easy to deceive).

Why would it be suspicious that my College requires a VPN to access on campus materials?

The Library catologs and software and a few other things auto work if you are on campus. Be it in a dorm or wifi.

If you are living off campus or anywhere else and want to access the catalogues, you need to use a VPN. Somewhat. The library catalogue and other access stuff can be accessed by just logging in. The software downloads requires both a VPN and your user to get it. Probably due to sensitive materials. A directly private link to the university network through VPN probably makes it so that there is no 'middle man' intercepting the schiit. If it even matters. Who cares

I was going to suggest key management servers but that didn't really make any sense. Basically a security thing. Brings us back to that Aaron Swartz did and why stuff like this is in place.

There is a difference between an enterprise license and a student license. Generally when you need to have a VPN to activate a Windows product it is because you are licensing it to meet Microsoft criteria for an enterprise activation wink.gif

You don't need a VPN to actiavte Windows for my school. I said that a while ago( a few months ago) back then but I was mistaken.

You only need the VPN to download any software from my school. If you already have it downloaded and saved. You are golden. Just do the short command promt stuff and boom

Just search "ibob4tacoz" on YouTube. I should do that for my Windows 7. Yes, there's a bit more bass, a bit more pinch and rumble.

Hey guys, another question here: So, my Senns were plugged ino the front panel, etc etc. I accidentally hit the plug downwards pretty hard. I got a flashlight and shined it in, and I saw the stuff inside was out of alignment. I'm not sure if my warranty is still valid, so any suggestions to realign it? (It doesn't seem like the front panel can be taken off) I can't push a jack in, and no audio comes out.

That can be rough, although I can't say I've ever been successful in fixing it.

Contact and see if they would repair it under warranty.  Otherwise you would likely have to do the repairing on your own :(

Where did you order from?

Sounds like a convenient excuse to pick up a desktop amp and dac.
