Just finished the part picker for mine

What was your final build?

Mine was:

Only the case, cpu, and motherboard were bought. I'm re-using parts from my main rig for the rest. No one in their right mind would use a 700W PSU otherwise in a mini ITX rig

Nice Build.

I would have done it a bit differently but I believe you explained the reasons for why a few pages back.

I would have done dual channel RAM but I believe you said something about upgrading soon later. And I would have done an 120GB SSD instead, but I also believe you said something about needing the space and buying an SSD soon. Anyway, good build.

May I ask how your custom Cooler that I showed you the deal for is $0 and how Windows is also $0?

Just spent a couple of hours putting my mITX PC together.I've never had to do so much planning before putting parts into a case.

I'm pretty happy with the cable management so far since this case does you no favors in that dept, and I'm plugging in support for 6 HDDs, an AIO cooler, and my old 560Ti video card.

Wow muinarc I'm jelly. I just looked at the picture of parts and wishes I had a build to put together. It's like Christmas... only better.

The cooler was free from my dad's work. He had this old cooler still in its box. Windows I borrowed from one of my dad's colleagues. (Or actually HE did that.)

Wut? How does one borrow Windows?

After interacting with the userbase of MMO/popular PC games I have concluded one thing.

Running a game on max in their minds, does not equal running the game on max in real life.

Running the game on 1080p does not equal max for one.

Also, just had a game with another person telling me that the game looked like schiit. I asked him what he used and he replied with 'Computer'. When I asked for specifics, he said 'Nvidia'.

Yep. It's like the people with 780s who run everything at low because they'd rather have a constant 900 + fps.

There are those people? :confused_face_2:

I would figure that if you had the brains or money to buy a 780 that you would run it as high as you can.

Or if you were stupid and rich enough to buy a prebuilt machine with a 780 that you would also be stupid enough to just use the (ok) pre-detected graphical settings games give you without modifying it?

There is a medium? Who is this super man you are telling me about? Is there such a person?

That and it is actually easier to play the game haha.

You guys are funny :D

My office needs workstations.  When I looked at the initial specifications I noticed that they included AMD 290x's

Keep in mind that the most these cards would do is run flash video, or possibly some minesweeper idk.

So now I will have a ~$3000-$5000 budget per desktop to work with, still a whole lot cheaper than Dell lol.

I'd scrap the video card and go for 2P boards instead :-P
