Yaaaayyy Aussies can finally buy from Newegg now, only a limited range though.
Still, even after shipping, I'll save $20-50 when buying a new cpu/mobo/ram combo, woohoooooo.
I just had to tell you guys this, I've moved around a lot this month, and haven't had interenet for a year... again this year :/ non the less lol, I talked to frontier About getting an internet service, they tried to sell me a DSL line for 52.98 a month with 6mbits down and 1 up...
LAWL, I hung up the phone at that point, thats... so assine. I get that it's non contracted but what a freaking joke! granted it's non contracted but.... at that speed I think I'll just pay $600 a year to have TMC lawl.
Actually I'm just going to need to visit the house in my neighboor hood that has internet and see if I can use their connectivity... I've been putting that off for a while and I really should hit them up. There's one guy in a rather large house about 30 feet from me with a decent connection under WPA2.
But I ask this guy for at least 8mbs down and he tries to sell me 6 mbs and yes that BITS down, for $50... uhh I salute his dedication. And it looks like I'll be without internet for a little while longer :/
The deal isn't that bad considering you may be in the middle of nowhere.
Are there better rates around? If not...the deal isn't bad bad.
My home area back home provides 15Mb/s down and up for $51 a month. Granted this is in an area that offers good rates etc. For middle of nowhere places. $50 for even 6 isn't bad.
6 is about the national average but yeah, if you can get higher do it. Shop around, find out all the tricks and deals different providers give. If you need to or even want to bundle etc
You do realize that internet in America is measured in bits as a standard right?
For those who don't do realize it's Mb, not MB. Capital B represents Bytes, lower case b represents bits. Divide your speeds in bits by 8 to get bytes (if you didn't know the conversion off the top of your heads).
Ex. My 16Mbps connection is really just 2MBps. What's funny is that I max out at 1.2MBps (at least that's the highest I've gotten on uTorrent even with torrents with enormous amounts of peers that were in my country).
Yea I know it's a standard, I guess I should have mentioned that for $51.98 a month TMC gave me 2Mb up and 16Mb down, and I got just that. 2MB down without any issues, for the same price I can get un contracted 6Mb Down for the same price... honestly screw that. TMC again offers like 2mb Down service for like $15. Not great, but enough to do home work [maybe] and browse.
The biggest issue I have is I can get 4-5Mb down through my Android on tMobile but I have no celluar service where I live <.< Granted after like 2gbs tMobile cut's me down to like 1mb but I've yet to burn throuh 2gbs of data web surfing
yes it does. if your CEO your the public face of the company. same reason no one noticed or cared when he was CFO (i tihnk.) taking on such a role puts you in the public view so expect the public to care about your behaviour. if you dont want public scrutiny dont take such a public role.
Yeah that's true. I saw a bunch of miners on [H] selling theirs in bundles. But woo Crossfire!
