Yeah, I'd be giving ChromeOS a fighting chance first. But with the C720 I'd have a backup at least if I didn't care for ChromeOS. I want to like ChromeOS and Chromebooks. I need light, decent battery, small form factor, and budget friendly for my intended use. I think the C720 may be able to handle that for me.

This looks promising too ;)

500GB Hybrid Drive, i3, Touchscreen, Win?

Yeah, but double the price of the C720 ;) I could potentially get the 4GB model for $200, and cheaper is better in case it gets stolen, damaged or if I screw up messing with the internals. That's why I was targeting Chromebooks. I can browse, access Google Docs and iWork, and carry it around to easily take notes during press announcements.

After rebate it is $280.  Has 500GB HDD + 24GB SSD Cache(Hybrid)!

I guess if you would not mind waiting for a rebate, could be a better value :D

I'm definitely fine with rebates. I've built a computer before where about 60% of the parts had rebates on them. It's nice getting check after check in the mail. Or rather, visa cards now I guess.

It looks like the $280 was when it was $379 - $100 rebate, seems like the price went up today.

Damn, oh well :(

C720 is great too (especially at $200), and there's plenty of OS options to choose from.

Been mining LTC for the last 3 days

Finally have .56 LTC :D

X-Intensity based Scrypt miner + Ghashio promo @ 1.25-2x rewards + Panda PC + ??? = Profit?

Maaaan I haven't mined anything at all for a while.  I keep checking my temps with teamviewer on my phone and half the time they're at like 84-86º C so I just stop mining because it's no longer crazy cold outside and I get artifacts on my screen when I go over 84ish c.  That's at 1.1GHz core @ 1.110v and 1825MHz mem.

What hashrate are you getting again bowei? I feel all poor and sad like "it's not even worth it" when I turn down my clocks and kh/s goes under 700.

I don't pay for electricity and other than portal 2 and audiosurf, I haven't gamed at all in the past 2 months.  So I really need to mine.  NO EXCUSES.

But the values have dropped so much : /

650-750kH/s on average for my system

It's my main computer, and I don't pay for electricity

I don't have it on full hash ability as it is my main computer.

I'm avg'ing 10k kh/s on my server.

Much Speed

Super Power

Wow

Yes much speed, big power, loud noise, super expensive bills.

If the weather is really warm/hot, why don't you drop it down to 900mhz core? It should still do 630kh/s, but with the voltage at 1080mv (or 1060 depending on your ASIC) the temps should be at least 5C cooler.

100 less khashes is nothing in the grand scheme of things (43c/day), especially if you're losing mining time.

yep

I do .9mV with 775MHz Core and 800MHz Mem with a custom fan profiel

This gives me better hashes than most configs up to my full throttle config which I never use now

Mainly because full throttle config makes my computer barely usable(and is loud as ****) and only gives me 100 more kH so not worth

LTC prices are going up :D

Awesome!

It was like 1LTC to $11 USD when I started mining a few days ago, and now it is close to $19 USD per LTC :D
