If those are 280/290 series graphics cards. I can't see those cards lasting very long in that sandwich.

Intentional?  Or maybe their lead design team is a group of 12 year old children who have a patches of peach fuzz on their face ;)

Didn't you know that individually sleeved cables wick heat away better than any material known to man!? o_O

What is that for... pure overkill... 4k x 2 or something.

I can't even see myself wasting all that power. And mining on that is asking for trouble.

Have you used, seen and experienced the 280 or 290 series cards with X variants?

They use more power and put off more heat then the GTX480. That is a true record for leaf blower.

WTH are those top fans for when they're using the AiO in the rear exhaust?

lol! There were kids talking about intels new server processors back when they got announced thinking they were some magic amazing things that fit into a single socket on his mATX board.

Said "nerds" also talked about buying 290x to mine bitcoins with... BITCOINS.  I call them nerds because they appear to have social problems (nothing wrong with acting strangely and not understanding why everyone's staring at you) and very little knowledge of what they're talking about.

Yeah, not a.. Fan.. Of them :sipping-tea:

I ordered my brother the Gigabyte Windforce R9 270, and it is relatively quiet/cool despite being in a poor airflow case.

As you said the 280x/290x are much too loud! My 6850 is loud, and I would assume AMD to be keeping noise/efficiency top priority in their reference models. Its unfortunate really, because software/hardware efficiency is the real bottleneck in 2014...

Would love to be alive the day a gaming PC was supplied power by a single potato haha

Given that the majority of the power made in the US is generated from burning baby seal oil.... you might be.

Had to lol at that.

It's been a while since I dropped by this thread. Been playing Fallout 3 again, all modded up. Last time I tried to play it, it would crash every few minutes, but I've since fixed it.

The game looks absolutely stunning with this ENB config I'm using.

Doing quite well, but the tech/research system is a bit of a learning curve from WoT. Mainly due to how many elements of Wot that Gaijing used...but then completely changed to do something else. That's the thing that is ****** with me hard.

I hate the new system of researching plane upgrades. Back in the old system of plane upgrades, depending on how much you used your plane and how well you fought in it would give you a certain amount of XP per plane (so plane specific XP). Getting to a certain XP unlocks certain upgrades (ex. fuselage, engine, new guns, etc.).

The new system is absolute garbage, especially the entire specializing in one line of planes from one country since it actually takes longer now from what I've seen and heard to advance up the tree.

Who needs a potato powered gaming PC when you can have a potato powered GLaD0S?
