Quite possible. Friend did a mod to the Prodigy side panel and covered up the holes, now he's complaining about an awesome looking case with toasty temps.

Why did he cover up the ventilation wholes for?

So I should avoid the Colossus?

He machined out a chunk of the side panel and put a wide window in. Guess he decided it wouldn't look as nice with hole in the polycarb.'

Not at all, just make sure the GPU will do fine. My friend's temps weren't all too bad until he started OCing the thing. One thing about polycarb (and most plastics?) is that it retains heat, and is a terrible heat conductor. So it's quite possible he has a bubble of warm air trapped there. Worse comes to worse, find a buddy with a CNC or a mill or a drill press and have at it.

Oh god idiots idiots at school talking about 1tb ssds (they had to ask some other kid what an ssd is) They're gawking at how expensive ultrabooks are, talking about how bad razer is, and saying "Imma buy an aleinware, gaming laptops are the best"  I'm facepalming the whole time and I'm really close to crying.  There's another semi competent kid in this class and I don't know how he can ignore them so well.

I think I mentioned I bought an Alienware M14x under $100 in this thread.  Better than Razer, just saying....  Sold it within a few days because I'm not a fan of laptops.

I don't think Razer's an amazing brand or anything. They're just on eBay looking at stuff with most expensive showing first.

Really? Under $100?

As for Razer and Alienware, meh. Both make reasonably decent stuff. Alienware is especially good for powerful laptops, only rivalled by Clevo and MSI. As for Razer, their slim gaming laptop might not be the fastest laptop you get for the money, but it's a lot more portable and packs a considerable punch for such a small package. Don't expect workstation craftsmanship as you would from a $3000 Lenovo or so, but then again, they're not made for professionals (except pro gamers...) on the go.

Theres also that Asus gaming laptop G series or something. But yeah if you don't game the craftmanship from an HP Elite or the higher end Thinkpad/Lenovo series is pretty steller.

Personally I dislike the Colossus series, the aesthetics don't really fit my preference. The 250D I love, simple box, nothing more.

The Mini-ITX/Micro-ATX versions are actually really nice, unlike the tacky as crap tower.
You think I can get some Modders Mesh and make a vent for the GPU?

Never mind about the mesh.
