PC Enthusiast-Fi (PC Gaming/Hardware/Software/Overclocking) - Page 31

Aw yeah, Crysis 2.

Just shy of playable at my high resolution (about 25-28FPS). Lowering it to 1920x1200 nets me an extra 10-15FPS.

Is that with DX11 pack and HD textures with the EVEN MORE HD texture mod pack ?

Nope, just DX9. It still looks incredible as is, though. Particle effects are something I never really notice in games, but with this, they are so freaking excellent that you have no choice but to notice them.

eh, not bad. it's got some interesting concepts and the horrors alright like a 7/10 on a good day type thing...but it's just so poorly made. Maxed out it looks pretty good, but runs at about 2 frames a seconds, on minimum it runs at about 20 frames and dips to like 10; all while looking just plane old bad.

I'm loving the downsampling on my games, but what should work better? 8x AA w/ no DS, or 2x AA DS from 2560x1600? They both seem to get around the same performance.

That's a good question. I might have to do a comparison just to see, though I suspect 2xAA at the higher resolution might look better.
