You guys think I could strap a 240mm rad to the front of a Prodigy?

Whoops, went to sleep.

Granted that even my system doesnt draw that much (4-500W) on idle, it would help him if he bought gpus later on.(doesnt seem like it)

Im not sure how much power all those drives will take though

I was recommended that PSU by someone else because of the drives. I had a 650W in it before, but the more the better, less chance of the drives having problems. Not to mention the passive setting made me want it.

At that point, just get a Synology NAS. PSU is also waaaay overkill.

Nothing special about HyperX. Mushkin, Kingston, Corsair, G.Skill, etc. are good brands. Just see which ones are the least expensive and grab a set.

Not a NAS, if it was a NAS I'd have put in another HDD rather than the SSD. It's tough to describe what it's supposed to do. But it is a storage rig, meant to sit somewhere and occasionally moved around.

The RAM I dunno. Still looking at availability and what not, 32GB is probably overkill too, unless it really becomes a NAS.

also... u got a GPU in dere q.Q'

The M60 is more expensive than the M65, about 20 bucks more. From what I've read it's more or less the same, but better. I really liked the M60, so I doubt I won't like the M65, provided I can make it heavier.

I don't think you can. Unless you remove all of the HDD bays. Prodigy is an awesome case, doubles as quick chair if you put something underneath it (so you aren't sitting on the plastic feet).

I usually remove the removable drive cages, but I'm planning on a Prodigy build and was wondering if i could.

I can't remember if you can remove the bottom most drive cage. But if you can take that out too, then yes, you can fit it.

? Of course that's a mechanical keyboard!

This is the PC Enthusiast fi thread of course.

Welcome one and all. No longer will you need to 'ask' if that is an _____ here in this PC Enthusiast lounge. Everything you see is exactly what you think it is.

No longer do you have to think before asking. I know, I know. All those times on Facebook seing your friends and families crap rigs and thinking that their photos are so crappy that you can't tell if that is a membrane or mechanical.

Fear no longer, this thread is your haven, your fortress of solitude.

That is indeed SLI GTX 780's, that is indeed multiple pics of Crysis 3, that is indeed a core i7 4xxx desktop processor, and yes, that is a custom water cooling loop.

Welcome.

You're ruining the sentiment.

Shaddup, membrane keyboards are alright :(

Dell Quietpoint, Sidewinder X4, Macally iKey 3 are all great membrane keyboards..  I prefer a good membrane over a cheap mechanical any day >.>

Softer and generally quieter (not always true obviously) is one of the reasons they were adopted so well.  Mechanical is more pleasurable to type on, but my joints hurt after a long day of usage.  Does not matter about actuation force necessarily either.

Would be cool to have a hybrid, maybe by swapping switches or preassembled overlays.

@VXAce So just a storage rig? No gaming?

You could go switch out the CPU then since AM3+ and 990FX seem dead.
