Also, the creator of the mod is a pretty cool dood. Some guy was hating on characters that looked like lolis, and he was defending them. biggrin.gif

I'm getting mind f****

Is it just one single mod to download or a compilation?

-_-

I think a lot of people are using different combinations of mods, but the big one is ENB Series. For that all you need is the main file, plus a config file. The main file you can't get on sites like Skyrim Nexus, but you can download it at the official site. Configs you can download on Skyrim Nexus.

Or if you want to skip hunting around for everything, this dude has a pretty awesome config for it. http://www.asot.es/2001/09/skyrim-mods.html

I don't think I can run it that high though

What mods you use?

Oh I can't run it like that, those are just someone else's screens. I had tried running a more basic config after I got my new video card, and it ran about the same as it did on my old 6670, which led me to believe that it's really more CPU-bound.

I ended up saving oodles of these screenshots!

Looks AMAZING!!! How can I make mine look like that? I'm sure my PC's fast enough. smily_headphones1.gif

Wait, so what setup are you using right now?

After a few hours of Skyrim. A screenshot dump for tonight.

Those look great, how well does it run?

Also: just figured out proper super sampling. Makes New Vegas look even more beautiful, but performance takes a pretty serious hit. Only running at 2.25 times resolution, and my framerate drops a good 30 points. I think the increased resolution, paired with ENB series taxes my CPU to the limit.

I did try it on Skyrim, though, without ENB series. Runs about 50FPS, or about 30-40FPS with FXAA on.

Locked at 60 FPS through the ENB configs, occasionally drops to 40ish. Only running at 1080p though.

"Only" heh. That's pretty good though, what are you specs?

I'm like 99% sure that my CPU is to blame for my decreased performance. I ran New Vegas without ENB Series, and with 8xAA, and got a flawless 60FPS. If my video card was the bottleneck, that 8xAA would add a great deal of stress.

Also, for kicks, a comparison:

The added AA makes image quality utterly gorgeous, but I just love that lighting too much to give it up. The washed out look also covers up some of the blemishes.

i5 2500K at 5GHz with a GTX460 running at 910MHz.

I wouldn't give up the lighting either. The washed out look fits perfectly with the Fallout universe.

Aw yeah, I have my confirmation that my framerate problems are CPU-bound: Mass Effect 3 runs at 60FPS on one of the most demanding areas in the game. Unreal Engine games are very easy on the CPU, so this is about as confirmed as it's going to get.

Anyone think I should link Jude to this thread and say "Welcome to PC Enthusiast-fi, sorry about your server space!"? tongue.gif

Also, if anyone wants the guide to getting proper super sampling, here it is. It's actually really simple.

If I turn off the vsync on ME3 it runs at over 200FPS on my PC and still only utilises 80% of my GPU even with every setting maxed and 8xAA, 16xAF forced from the Nvidia control panel. I'll probably upgrade my GPU when DA3 comes out since that uses the Frostbite engine.

I thought ME3 was a disappointment graphically. Stupidly low res textures.
