I was looking into that awhile ago, but it's expensive compared to what I could get. (Hey, that sounds familiar... (Cough) Beats (Cough)

I replaced it with a Perixx MX-2000, which is really very good for the money - 5000dpi, 11 buttons, braided cable, 1MHz polling rate and a bunch of macro and customisable configs through the(actually pretty good) software nice contoured shape, although right hand only, great mouse for the £20 I paid. It's pretty heavily OEM rebadged, so you can find it as the sharkoon drakonia and a few other names too.

I personally would never pay over £40 for a gaming mouse. That kinda peripheral money is reserved for niche stuff imo, like the 3DConnexxion stuff and Wacom tablets.
I'm looking into it right now... Maybe with the money I saved I can buy DxTory.

Agreed, can easily find a solid mouse for $30 USD in the States.  Money is best saved elsewhere, "gaming" mice like with 1000+ buttons aren't that practical anyways lol.

Cyborg rat 3 is like $40 and has worked great for me I've the two years I've owned it. It's adjustable and looks pretty unique imo. Not crazy high dpi or anything though.

I was gonna get the RAT5, but I heard it had really bad plastic build problems.
EDIT: I should reword this. I meant it had really cheap plastic parts.

Well that makes it light weight, I guess it feels like cheap material but I don't know why anyone would want a machined aluminum or steel mouse.  Making it out of solid plastic would make it way heavier and weirder imo.

I'm happy with the build quality for the price I paid.

The Rat 5 felt quite nice when I tested one out. I was just wary of the high cost(at the time) and the difficulty of keeping it clean.

People said that the buttons would stop working after a few week/months, the double-click bug, pieces of random plastic would break off... (Newegg reviews) On Amazon, CNET, etc. they never had these problems... I'm confused.

Unless a TON of people say they have a specific issue on new egg I wouldn't take them seriously.

It was like 60% of all review "cons".

I have and tried many mice.  I wish I could go back in time and snag the fully programmable Sidewinder with the LCD screen built in.  It feels more like a mouse than an expensive toy, and looks pretty good doing it.

Heard things about Zowie and Steelseries, however I don't see anything special for the premium being paid.  IDK, I just feel that a $50+ should be put into a GPU (or a textbook) lol.

Should i get FRAPS or DXTory.

fraps sucks, dxtory is the same concept as taksi except it gets regular updates and is easy to use.  Hooks a lot better to games, doesn't crash as much lol

Definitely Dxtory.
