I'd like one of those AMD 290X cards. MMMMmmmm, I suppose I'd need to find space for another 240 rad in my case to cool it though.

Duct tape it to the side.

get some longer tubing and hang it out your window during the winter when it gets cold.  People do that with all their rads and get crazy good temps lol.

Ugly. If I wanted uber cool temps I could just put a chiller in my loop. My WC is mostly for looks, the never goes above 55C is a bonus.

I don't have a rad... Stock Intel cooler FTW (not really)

I'm hoping I can run the BF4 Beta.

Seems to me everyone with FX series processors can't run the beta any higher than ~20fps.  If you set the priority to low on task manager and turn all the settings and resolution all the way down you can maybe push 30-40 fps but not with out bad drops.  Other people with intel CPUs also have terrible drops.  I doubt they'll fix  it before the full game comes out given that the build used for the beta is already pretty old.

6100 should be enough to run the game..

I agree, I have a fx6300 OCed to 4.22ghz and a 7970 at 1100 but the gpu only runs at 30-40% while the CPU is constantly at 100%.  Same goes for the memory, ram being used is 3.8gb and my vram is barely nothing.  My friend has an fx4100 and a 660 with the same problem.

In BF3 i had that problem with a 940 pegged at 100% usage and turning my computer into a fan heater.  With the i7 cpu usage was down to ~25-30%, but the vid card (560ti) is now pegged at 100%

Havent looked at cpu usage in BF4, but i can tell from the little play time i have had the machine is struggling, almost certainly the video card pushed beyond its limits.

Bottom line, your always going to have a bottleneck somewhere...

^I agree but in the case of the bf4 beta it's not a matter of a bottle neck, it's just not optimized at all.  At 1080p with all the settings maxed out I get the same 24 fps I get on all low at 720p.

Have you tried the new 13.10b2 drivers? I got quite the performance increase from that, about 10-20 extra frames per second, and the utilisation is looking good.

I run with everything maxed on 2560x1600, and I'm usually sitting on around 60fps, with occasional dips down to ~45fps. I use 2x7970s @1050mhz and a 3770k @4.4.

I think it will run perfectly once things are sorted out in a couple of months.

Ugh, hell no!  As someone who often keeps track of client whitelists, Tixati is not very popular with many trackers.  Besides, he also likely has a version of uTorrent in the 3.X line.  Downgrade to uTorrent 2.2.1 (I suggest build 25302) and if you need another client for magnet links, just get anything since I don't remember any private trackers using magnet links, only sites like TPB or KAT.  I use BitLord myself for magnet links, but I'm sure that there are other clients you can use for that.

The game wouldnt load at all for me until i installed the beta drivers, so maybe thats why i'm not seeing crippling frame rates as bad as other people are reporting. Running @1920x1280 w/Windows8.

Yea that's the issue I am having... my stupid Computer AUTO Updated my uTorrent to 3.xxx or something. I m not having any conectivity issues or anything but every so often I get a nasty wave of False Positive Downloads from my Private trackers :/

I hope these new AMD gpus will force the 7970's to DIP DEEP into the $250 price range or so!

I heard that people using Windows 8 are getting a little extra performance compared to 7, maybe I'll consider upgrading once 8.1 comes out.

They should!

They'll have something new that's roughly equal in performance to the 7970 at the $299 price point, so hopefully, the street prices of the 7970 will go down a little bit too.
