The stop time and kill everyone mode is rather overpowered though, even if it is amusing to wipe out a whole group of 15+ soldiers in a few seconds.

I am not too much of a fan, I get caught too easily.

USB 3.0...is blazing. Holy crap. I wish I could see what Thunderbolt was like

Is it just me or are computers getting cheaper nowadays? One can make a GTX680 build for under $1500 now.

I think its just cheaper parts. Parts that are good still keep their prices but some companies are pulling FiiO's now where they can offer a device that has features for much less.

Tell a person a few years back that you were going to drop a GTX680 on a $50 motherboard and see how they react. Today, it wouldn't get too many eye flicks. Yes there is that efficency, barrier and slight bottlenecking if you will but at $50, who can complain.

That was easily more processing power than in all the world in 1950.

Having a $1500 computer doesn't mean squat when your internet sucks.

Unless you are like me who prefers SP and prefer to be forever alone playing them, like me

Oh that POS, I was watching the interactive Battle Royale movie with it, and it scared the Schiit out of me, I thought I was actually going to die! I could feel the pain! But, luckily I didn't die, but gave the NervGear to some poor orphans with a copy of Saints Row: the Eighth. evil_smiley.gif

Sad thing is you don't even need a £500 PC to play games now. Stupid console ports. I can't see my old GTX460 being properly outdated unless I go back to triple screen or when the next-gen consoles come out.

In the UK at least, you can get an Athlonx4  2GB setup for under £100. I remember when I sold my i7 920(D0) for under £100 around summer, probably could've gotten £130, but I was going for a quick sale. Great processor, overclocking one of those was way more fun than the new intels.

$800-$1000 is a sweet spot right now. Good case, upper level CPU, upper mid GPU, good 120GB SSD, 1-3TB HDD, 8GB-16GB RAM, and gaming class mobo. Good spot.

Everything got so much cheaper since I built, I built my friend a better rig for only $900! That's with an i5 3570k and GTX 570! Mine still has more RAM/storage though! biggrin.gif

You don't need 8GB+ RAM for gaming. I only have 16GB for 3D work(although I do run out sometimes, so I keep debating a full dual hexcore workstation, if only headphones didn't suck up so much money).

I wouldn't even bother with a hard drive in a new build now with 480GB SSDs going for £200. I'm planning to go all SSD in my main rig in the new year. That and a new pump, current one is starting to die.

EDIT: Well, maybe a hard drive for hardcore archiving or a server.
