Its an OC enthusiast CPU!
They specifically said it's a "new" CPU.

I heard the Fractal has sound dampening. Btw, HI BOWIE! Haven't heard from you in awhile.

Have you ever seen the 600T in person?  WAAY too big for my tastes :P

Looking into the other extreme, would be nice to have a ITX gaming desktop.

Yeah..but I'm going to be living in a new mansion so yeah...

I just spent 2 hours cleaning and completely rebuilt my computer. This means I took every part out, took anything I could apart and cleaned it with a vacumm and everything, refit everything, fix my previous things I didn't care to fix and put it back together

Bowie: "Should I vacuum my CPU?" (5 secs later) "Awww, all the pins are broken..." Lol :P

If you're looking for a good, cheap mid-tower, you can get the Enermax Ostrog (I have it). It's roomy, pretty versatile, and looks pretty nice. (Look it up) Plus, it's only $50, as I see you iz in dah US.

Hey guys, just got the new Tomb Raider on the PC last night. Hell, it's good. It feels like Far Cry 3 in a third-person view with a little extra quirks courtesy of Square Enix. (I never realized that it was Square who did this game...)

Lara's younger here than when she was depicted in the other games...which reminds me: Does anybody notice that this Lara Croft sounds kinda like Katniss Everdeen? From the side, she also looks like Everdeen, and the bow thing...*sigh*

If there is going to be a movie based on the game's timeline (or the game itself), I bet Jennifer Lawrence is going to prtray her. I mean, the movies based upon the old games were protrayed by Angelina Jolie, right?

All the Fractal Define line have sound dampening panels. heavy 0.5cm thick bitumen. Works really well, not as well as a Nanoxia Deep Silence(quietest non passive setup I've ever heard), but the Fractal cools better.

The new AMD 5GHz CPU is just a specially binned version of their old TOTL, like the Intel X versions. It's also stupidly overpriced at $950.

I thought the 600T was average sized. Not a fan of the looks though. The 550d looks nicer, imo. I remember seeing the 800D and Cosmos 2, those are huge. The 900D though...want.

Also, this: http://www.redharbinger.com/product/pre-sale-us-release-limited-edition-cross-desk/ $1600 + shipping, but deck it out with two fully WCed system and it looks awesome.

For a smaller case, the FT-03 and some of the upcoming Antec cases look very nice. So does the Corsair Obsidian 350D.

I have it on PS3 (I know, I know), but Lara is actually based off of of Camilla Luddington. She voices Lara and is a model for her.

Lara's younger here than when she was depicted in the other games...which reminds me: Does anybody notice that this Lara Croft sounds kinda like Katniss Everdeen? From the side, she also looks like Everdeen, and the bow thing...*sigh*

[/quote] For me, no but the bow is sick though. And Lara really pretty in Tomb Raider (2013) lol IMO

I cleaned the excess thermal jell, dusted all the components with a soft (very) brush while a super vacumm was sucking up the dust of everything.

Yeah, I thought it was good too, but focused WAY too much on weapons(op guns btw).

Now that you mention it, Jenniffer lawrence could pull it off

I was having PC Grounding issues. This means that if I pull the plug on the back for some reason(BSOD sometimes from gaming) or needed to hard reset my computer for any reason. My computer won't even post. I've done everything and it's come down to a probable grounding issue.

I'm going to college soon as well, so I re loosened all my cables

The 5ghz AMD is not overpriced.

I'm pretty sure you're all familiar with "golden" cards, cpus, etc?

This AMD CPU is essentially the best darn golden batch you're ever going to get, its targeted for enthusiasts who want to O/C.

I suppose you're familiar with $920. Unless you're getting them for free at a OC expo, it's pointless as the FX8350 can easily OC to 4.9 already. Buy a FX8350 and a phase change cooler for less money. Same as every X series or special binned processor ever, it's a PR ePeen product.

lol.

The whole idea behind the enthusiast CPU is to OC it, its going to be able to go higher than 5Ghz.  Its not for performance, some people are satisfied when they can reach 6.0+Ghz biggrin.gif

Again, this is the golden of the golden in terms of silicon.  You're basically going to be able to overclock as high as modern technology allows you to XD

The OC'ing specific binned FX8530's already hit 8.67GHZ under LN2, heck the FX8150 goes even further at 8.709GHz. The FX9590 is just the commercial version of those bins as a result of improved yields.

Fun for people with too much money or sponsored pro-overclockers? Yes.

Technological achievement or useful processor for the masses? No(especially since a H80 won't keep it from overheating if you turn it's turbo boost off).

lol, I have a 955 BE on stock clocks under volted, this CPU does not cater to my interests biggrin.gif

My next CPU will likely be intel, I don't think AMD will have anything exciting by the time I upgrade
