Does the sound work before you enter into the game?

Windows Sound Settings?

BO2 is fun for a run through in the sense of just gunning stuff down. MLL was a fun game smily_headphones1.gif

Meh, I've heard reports of MLL being used as a benchmarking tool for gaming PCs even. I tried the first scenes, and there was some noticeable lag on 1920x1080 default.

About the sound issue, the audio pretty much works (System Sounds, WMP, iTunes, etc etc), but I can't seem to find BO2 or MLL on the Volume Mixer when I run either. I think the PC needed a restart as the memory usage was at a constant 90% or higher.

It may of needed one I guess.

MLL is indeed one of the hardest games to run that has come out recently. Hell even Tomb Raider and Far Cry were easier to run than MLL.

Wow rly? I never knew. I plan to get Far Cry 3 too, but I'm still unsure.

Just looked through 2013 release list and so yeah. MLL is one of the harder (but efficent) games to run of the year

I could easilly run 1080p high settings on most AAA games of 2013. Tomb Raider could be played on High with no bells and whistles and no Vsynch, Far Cry 3 could be played on High with bells. Don't remember if I used vsynch, and most others as well

I played MLL on low settings overall but with vsynch at 1080p. DX11 of course was the pre selected thing which is why it ran so poorly for me

If you're still having issues, try disabling any stereo mix, etc and reselecting your audio device as the default one.

directsound sucks, alsa just as bad.. OSS!

I wonder if the next gen titles will be more efficient on the PC.

FFXV is said to be able to be ported to any DirectX 11 capable device, in other words:  Yeah, lets hit compile to .exe!  (Well.. besides whatever interface changes that will be needed.)

My somewhat budget build:
MSI- B75MA-P45
Intel i3-3220
EVGA GeForce GTX650ti BOOST SC 2GB
Kingston HyperX Black (2x4GB) 1600Mhz
SeaGate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM 64MB Cache
Enermax Ostrog
Stock CPU Heatsink
x2 Cooler Master SickleFlow 120
1 Cooler Master R4 Silent 140
1 Stock 120 fan
Any rates??? Please and thanks!

Well, as far as I know, FFXV will be released only on the PS4 and Xbox One (much to my surprise), as it was supposed to be released on the earlier generation. Well, Square Enix did say that Versus XIII (or FFXV's earlier title) needed next-generation power, so this was it. At least FF13-3 is coming to the PS3. I'm a massive fan of the franchise, though while I never got to play the games from 7-12, I was able to live through some of that thanks to Dissidia.

Holy cow, my dad's HTPC has the same graphics card! Lol.

Damn, that's a lot of fans...what's its regular temperature while idle (or while it isn't under load)? With those 4 fans, I'm guessing the MB wouldn't go higher than 35 degreees (Celsius, of course). Those specs are impressive...what's the Windows Experience rating?

...Really?   Windows Experience ratings are not a good judge of performance at all.  It's way too easy for the score to get bottlenecked if one of the parts you get is a generation or so behind the others, and there isn't much of a real scope of scale.  Use PassMark or something similar for a true test of benchmarking.

They actually are. Are they amazingly accurate and comparable with very in depth numbers? No, but do they offer a built in benchmark systtem providing ways for a Very quick look and judgement of new computers at best buy you may want to check out OR on how generally a part may stack up to each other? Because damn yes it does. Youll just look like an idiot for claiming its fully legit and using it on ocn

Finished Dishonored. Killed three people total, killed lady Boyle because the non lethal bugged, Lord Regent resisted arrest from his guards when I used the non lethal approach and they killed him, killed Havelock, I knocked him out, carried him to the top of the lighthouse and then threw him off...).

I dunno if I should try a ghost/clean hands run next or slaughter everyone indiscriminately.

My specs haven't changed much since I first posted in this thread. Just a change of cooling system, swap to all SSD and a new GPU.

SO I guess I haven't posted my specs (I think)... so ... here we go, my "gaming" PC!!!

CPU: Intel i5-3570 @ Stock speeds ;-)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H77N-WiFi
RAM: 16GB (don't even remember maker)
Video Card: Ati Radeon HD7770 (either by MSI or Gigabyte... I bought these 2, have both installed on different machines)
Disk Drive 1: Crucial 128 GB m4 SSD
Disk Drive 2: Western Digital 3TB Caviar Green 3

All of this into a tiny Fractal Design Node 304

;-)

Is it the most powerful system ever?
Of course not, but it plays the games I have at an Ok pace and with no problems AND now I don't need a huge tower on the floor! ;-)

BTW, my Windows 9 WEI == 7.4

The stock fan is an intake while the rest are exhausts, the 120s are on the side and back (as exhaust), and the 140 is on the top (as another exhaust). So as you know, it's negative pressure. Under 100% load my CPU doesn't go above 60°. Btw, any programs to stress test my GPU?

How do I un sub from this so it doesn't show up in my recent activity at the top of my profile? I try un subbing but it still updates...... sigh
