I agree with you fully. But the PS3 was for historical purposes, if you want to put it that way. biggrin.gif

But after seeing PS4 come H2H with the Xbox One, I was like,  "I'm getting another PS."

What? Lol.

I want a new video card...preferably with at least 1G of dedicated memory...and a new processor. Does buying separate parts become more expensive than buying a full package?

In America? It's the same price, but you can DEFINATELY save money on Newegg by bundling stuff together. People just DO NOT see it. It's called the combo deal section, I look always to check every combo deal for my stuff. Half the time, a combo deal features something I was ALREADY doing to get.

CPU and Motherboard combo deals are very often on Newegg, there are like 50 discounted combo's for each set. It's amazing.

Tiger Direct does have bundle deals but those aren't that good.

The above sums up this thread nicely.

And for the last page of console vs console:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUjKjzY39SI&feature=youtube_gdata_player

Edit: the fact all the nerds are Asian goes nicely with all your cute little anime avatars tongue.gif

Huh, okay. Thanks for the info. Sadly, bundle deals here in China are usually an entire package, with case, CPU, GPU, RAM, motherboard, etc etc.

You can always try a forwarding service to ship from USA to China, use Slickdeals.net and setup some deal alerts!  You'll likely want to buy the case from china though wink.gif

Add some alerts such as xeon, amd, nvidia, gtx, corsair, ddr3, 1600, etc.  Missed out on a Xeon going for $99, roughly equal to a i5-2500k in performance.

That looks like a good idea. The bad thing is, most shipping services could potentially double the cost I have to pay.

So like Tiger Direct? There are actually some really good bundle deals sometimes, but they usually give good CPU and GPU and then bundle in HDD, RAM, PSU , CASE that looks like it will fall apart in seconds.

A buddy gave me a 128GB SSD so I had the brilliant idea of installing it as my 7 boot disk and following the lifehacker article about moving the Users Directory... More schiit information on the net that needs to be removed... Got burned, can't load profile service after the reboot, I checked the Junction and all is correct. So now I am going do it the Sysprep method. Just a little FYI for anyone else, don't follow the lifehacker info, it will leave you unable to log in and all the default compatibility Junctions in the User directory will be gone. :banghead: Sent from my HTC Desire HD A9191 using Tapatalk 2

Which is why you should have just done a clean system OS setup using the SSD as your boot drive and not copying and pasting files over. cool.gifwink.gif
