There really needs to be a website showing detailed statistics about reliability and such for different PC components. But I think manufacturers won't be so keen on giving out data, not to mention the ensuing flame wars from fanboys that will inevitably happen.

Apple build quality is usually very good though, I wouldn't touch their desktops but their notebooks are second to none.

Their exterior, keyboard, touchpad, and screen are generally second to none (except macbook air).  They do skimp in places they shouldn't, such as connectivity hardware, storage, and RAM.

I often receive Macbooks that have failing RAM, storage, Wifi, or all 3 XD

Silverstone's new tundra AIO coolers look seriously awesome.

I'm kinda hoping silverstone sell the radiator separately. It'd make a great showpiece in a loop.

I've blacklisted 2 companies
Cooler master cooler master cooler master cooler master cooler master and ocz
Coolermaster has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with, they left me in live chat and I've bought 9 different products from them totalling around 400 and they treat me like shot really?
Ocz just has shifty products that break down the second I use them, crap psu, crap ssd

Your fault for not updating the firmware, haha

I'd feel the same though, but this is sandforce's fault not ocz's

I think the only company I'll actively try not to purchase computer stuff from is Razer.  The two mice from Razer that I've owned have generally had awful build quality, whereas I've had a Logitech G9 mouse for almost six years now without any issue, despite constant use.

my ssd broke before the new firmware, and thats ocz's fault for using sandforce and not a different controller, ocz made the choice to implement those parts in their product, which resulted in a bad product and there fore i wont buy from them again and their psu is butt

You're forgetting sandforce was all the rage when it was announced, samsung, intel, and others were all using the same sandforce controller.  The only difference was OCZ was less than half the competitors prices.

OCZ is only getting bad rep because they gave you an SSD at an affordable price, and are still trying to recover because of it.  ****ty because if it were corsair/samsung the world would have forgiven and forgotten by now.

OCZ is one of the best (if not already), you don't see them advertised because of the losses they made. (and the negative rep) They're all the rage in the stock markets though ;)

I bought a corsair PSU for $90 and it died in a week.  My budget PSUs are still kicking after several years, and are performing well.  Hmm, well I guess I shouldn't buy butt products from a bad company like corsair.  tongue.gif

you come to me like you are an ocz fanboy, i dont remember samsung using sandforce, and dont remember intel ssds having problems with sandforce, and ocz isnt the only company taht sells affordable ssds, ive seen many companies especially samsung, who can undercut almost anyone because everything they make is in house. And the last time i checked seasonic makes most of corsaits psu and seasonic is the most reliable name for psus

lol, from the sound of things you bought your OCZ when prices were competitive.  When I bought my 128GB Agility 3 for $178, a similar performing Intel was going for over $300 for the same storage capacity.

Like I said, people do not remember Intel or any other company because of their high pricings.  Why buy an Intel when you can get a faster Vertex for less?  They all used the same sandforce controller, and sandforce had bad firmware for their chipsets.  All SSDs from ALL brands using sandforce had the same exact issue, not just OCZ...

If you bought your SSD when pricing was competitive you should not have had a failed SSD, as the firmware update was released globally long before so.

Yeah seasonic/corsair typically make great products, but by your definition of good/bad they are (butt?) products.

Dude my sides hurt so so bad from EAs press conference.  The whole plants vs zombie thing so terrible can't believe that actually exists,  the whole Drake showing up and saying "When I play FIFA I think about the Dev-Team" LOL :P I'm happy about a new mirrors edge and BF4 looks good but the reveal was so funny too.  64 people playing on the reveal and they show what everyone's doing they show a bipoded sniper like a mile away and how they all (scripted) jump out of the boat when it's at 84%  It was good but I was laughing the whole time.

I don't remember any other company having as much of a problem as ocz maybe some older corsair adds, and don't forget Intel can make their own mem while ocz has to buy everything from everyone else (they Prolly bought the cheapest parts they can) that was prolly why they were cheaper/had more problems. You get what you pay for and this applies to ocz for under cutting competitors and lowering quality to achieve that, I know their one product the vector isn't like that and also you see peoples reviews of their revo drives? They're awful

You wouldn't remember, nobody would.
The flash used in 128gb+ models was of high quality, they did not skimp at all.
Before the sand force fix I had systems returned back to me. Most were OCZ due to price and availability, though my company suffered a mass ssd failure with Intel. Just imagine over 50 brand new workstations failing to boot because of dying ssds, the hysteria lol.

I think the only ssd that did not suffer the plague was the crucial brand line. Problem was they were poor performers, and had a high premium.

IMO the worst ssd brand is sandisk. Just check out the u100, my zenbook writes slower than a regular green hdd lol.

PS4 and Xbone. Xbone sucks right? Not exactly. I prefer PS4. But it doesn't matter what I prefer.

The Xbone from the looks of it is the vastly superior home entertainment and Day One console.

It has 4X the(day one) AAA games than PS4.
TV TV TV TV TV TV TV TV
Intergration with everything you know about Microsoft
Social Netowrking, TV, and Games,
And 'bad' features that I dont already deal with on my Computer with Steam and don't care about.

I would vastly prefer the PS4. But the hate on the Xbone is vastly outdone and is really hurting a great product. The hurt first came from enthusiasts. From the looks of it. From the PC Master Race and then spread by wild fire.

Stuff doesn't sound good on paper. But guess what. People adapt their lives. There have been many things that don't sound good that just work.

There is no simple way to bring about the future. If innovation and failed ideas didn't come and go. We would still have stations like the NES.
We see future movies that show home entertainment stations that move at a moments notice. That start up immediately, that feature bright colors and great intergration into lives. Whilst still playing all the games we want.

We will never reach that day if we just stay in our comfort zones. The PS4 gives us what we want.

Apple used this. Steve Jobs was quoted as saying that the people never know what they really want. And this is true. Most companies play by success and failure through numbers on charts. Some follow the status quo on what people want. Others say **** it and try something that moves us forward. Nothing is right or wrong. IT's just a number on a graph later on of what will work or not.

The two units are very different. One is the next generation of gaming. And the other is the possible pathway into the next generation of entertainment in general.

If I had to buy a unit now. I would definately go with the PS4. But if I wanted the future. The Xbone represents everything about the future.

Anonymity is harder and harder to take back. The people of the world have shown apathy for governments control over us. Microsoft, NSA, PRISM, Always on. I don't personally like it and you complainers don't either. But its happened and is steamballing without anyone stopping it. And thus this is the future.

The console is $500+ the $60 games you are going to buy along with more controllers and more online plus subscriptions. This is a console for the uber rich. If you can buy it and use it to play games. You are already in the top percentage of the world. If you can read this message and care to read to this part already. You are already in that percentage.

IT and network infrastructure is improving year by year. We have seen movies of the future and have wished it upon us. The Xbone thus is a bet on that future. Where we will have reliable internet infrastrucutre, not have anonymity, and are setup fully.

If I had 4 years to design a console with a group of the world's most talented people. And our goal was a console that encompased everything about the word entertainment into one and whose goal was to seriously be the future. The Xbone would probably be what would come out.

I don't like the features of the Xbone right now as I am cemented into my beliefes about what I like. But if things are to change for the future. Well then, that is the day the Xbone succeeds.

But for now. PC Master Race. Screw you Sony and screw you Microsoft. Screw you NSA, screw you social intergration into my gaming, screw you paid online subscription, screw you full price games, and above all, screw you console peasants. t(-_-t)

I just got through watching the E3 press conferences. The games on my must buy list are as follows:

Battlefield 4

Assassins Creed IV Black Flag

The Division

Watch Dogs

Need For Speed Rivals

The Witcher 3 The Wild Hunt

STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT 3 (I've been waiting 8 years for this glorious moment!!!)

Aside from those I really wish Ryse Son of Rome wasn't an XBone exclusive because I really want to play it.
