Audio is also messed up.

Still, the game is gorgeous.

lol look reflections on water/ice.  Something 99% of current games still DONT have... That should all change very soon.  If i wasn't so busy that raytracing demo look really cool. Pretty happy to know I'll live to see the massive change in 3d games from PS1 to the tech we'll have in 20-30 years.

Speaking of Ray Tracing, I guess the new Killzone game for PS4 uses Ray Tracing for reflections.

Ray Tracing on an early next gen game? The end of next gen is going to be very, very impressive! biggrin.gif

I will feel like the PC master race will die a little when the best looking game DOESNT exist on PC but PS4, well at least for some amount of timebiggrin.gif

I almost get scared when ubisoft (they always give us the scraps off the table) say stuff like this:

http://www.gamesthirst.com/2013/04/22/ubisoft-watch-dogs-ps4/

almost sends a message say "****** PC ps4 will bring us more profit so who cares"... worst case scenario is we get significantly less crappy ports.

EDIT: I'm not sure how much improvement we will see with the end of next gen tech compared to now since Sony is saying they didn't do some complex crap with the crap that devs had to learn to utilize.  Bet you $10 we'll see Devs pulling a crytek saying "We've maxed out the PS4" within a year.

I still think we'll see huge gains between early next gen and late next gen. With the PS3, for example, with most devs, they barely touched the CPU. Even things physics were offloaded to the GPU, and I think a good portion of devs, even when they used the CPU, they only used the PPE. (Though, I know most first party companies used the CPU in creative ways, like Naughty Dog using the CPU for Anti Aliasing.)

I'm thinking maybe we won't see first party devs running so far ahead of the pack. And while I think devs will probably say they maxed out the console early on, I think creative uses of streaming will keep graphics progressing along nicely.

It's definitely going to be more about the engine though, and not how they can squeak every last bit of power out!

I feel like pc gaming is getting cheap. Minimal upgrades every year for GPU/CPUs and nothing is REALLY demanding. I remember back when I had to spend 1000+ for a decent "budget" pc.  That was when all this new, powerful stuff hit, then everything has kind of gone down in price.

I feel in the next 1 1/2- 2 1/2 years there is going to be a jump in graphics/resolutions that are going to demand some sick new technology that only PCs will be able to upgrade to, and the consoles are going to be left in the dust again. The first year or so of the ps4/xbox720 or durango or w/e are going to be toe to toe with the average gaming pc, but I am praying that game makers just blow the lid off a new generation of game engines and technologies so I can swim in PC gaming nervana like when the 8800 gtx came out.

Well that my drunken thought of the week. CHEERS!beerchug.gif

One more batch of Dishonored screens. Game looks so good running (I use the term loosely) at 2880 x 1620 with 8xSGSSAA.

Yep. 4K screens arriving to the top end consumer around 2015 and 4K TV's maybe sooner.

It doesn't even hit a min fps of 60 on skyrim at 5760 x 1080. Good, but it hardly a roflstomp. Maybe next gen.

Besides, I can see people wanting triple screen 4k.

This exactly. It may crush anything we have now, but soon I feel games will leap in requirements. I'm down for triple 4ks
