What are fasters for Bitcoin mining? Workstation cards or regular ones?

It's Kingpin. He's had a pretty impressive record.

That and I guess it's binning on a smaller level, but just ridiculously expensive.

Yeah, I'm guessing most won't go out to buy Workstation cards just to mine.

Unless its some hipster that has one for this graphical,CAD,etc work and also wants to do some mining.

GPU mining has died off since the introduction of ASICs I believe. I'd get about $1.50 a day after power costs, if I were to start mining again today using my 7970.

The titan pulls in about 300MH/s, a little slower than the good ol' 5850. tongue.gif

I'm not sure, people just use normal cards because they are more readily available, and cheaper too I'd imagine.

ASICs? I need a filler here.

Bitcoin is at a somewhat absurd all time high, being $30+ USD per bitcoin. That is pretty awesome though IMO but difficulty nowadays is pretty insane.

Most people use mainstream cards (not the workstation cards). Bitcoin's wiki covers mainstream cards. I don't remember seeing any workstation cards.

Think of them like special custom CPU's made specifically for bitcoin mining. One of them costs about $1300 and can pull off 66,000MH/s.

I heard one of the first ones that shipped paid itself off in 9 days!, heaps of them will be shipping really soon, and we may see the death of GPU mining coming in a few weeks once the difficulty ramps up.

Could be.

Nvidia often helps sponsor top overclockers and ships cards to them for company e-peen as well as to reviewers.

Wow...wait, so they're just a crapload of simple cores? So a parallel computing CPU...

Do want...

Ehh, Nearly there. In game rendering doesn't mean in game animation though and the lighting model and shaders are still off(very plasticy). The background and floor are probably photo reference textures.

YES! of course :)

They are only rendering that car right now and it could just be a still. Rendering EVERYTHING in real time as tens of cars go pass on a far reaching race track would probably...not make it so.

Low res textures on ground and wall. 2/10, wouldn't play.
