@Mechy, How would I go about jailbreaking my PS3 and 360?

PS3 jailbreak requires a PS3 that's on an older firmware than current (don't remember what it is unfortunately, but last I checked you couldn't do it on anything later than 3.55?)

And to hack an Xbox requires a Xbox slim, modchip, some soldering, and some other magic shizzlewizzle.

Allow me to be biased again for a tiny moment

Oh, so they have finally caught up some then? biggrin.gif

That's not even close to movie level CGI.

Yeah, but the game is so controller biased it's just a pain to play on kb or mouse in any configuration.

Blizzard on PS4. Aw yeah.

Oooh, Diablo 3 coming to both PS3 and PS4.

Oh, and Bungie's Destiny coming to PS4. And it'll get exclusive content for PS3/PS4.

Aaaand it's over. Looks like PS4 will be out this Holiday, so that's really cool.

One more edit: Killzone GIF.

So does that GIF mean ray or am I stupid? (probably stupid) It seems really funny how the hardware wont be better than PCs have right now... the quality of games will just go up for us so we all win.

Not really sure what kind of tech is going on in the game, but it's definitely something special. I imagine sometime around E3 is when we'll start hearing more about the technology used in the games.

As silly as it sounds, to me, the most impressive thing about that gif is the glass on the building. tongue.gif

A few more gifs.

And finally, some screens.

Well... At least Crysis 3 gets to be the best looking game ever for a few months...

I never understood why people found those screens impressive. I doubt they are actual screen shots rendered real time.

Obviously they're bullshots, but it's all in game assets. And they are very, very good assets.

As someone who likes to be very informed when it comes to Sony (can't say the same for the XBOX, and Nintendo never releases specs), it is very welcome to see an emphasis on RAM, as most limitations on the functions of last generation's consoles were based on the low amount of RAM used for the system.  As for the thing about PCs out-speccing consoles, you have to also remember that consoles have dedicated, optomized coding for encoding, decoding, and processing, which increases effeciency per part performance, which is why a console with only 256 MB of RAM and 256 MB of VRAM can pull off something like Assassin's Creed 3 so well.

Yes, PC's have better specs, but we have the performance edge, and with how close to the bleeding edge we are now, combined with the immense headroom that even the most current PCs are not using, I am very comfortable at the pace console games are improving with this generation.

The limitations of their rams only began to show a few years later. 512 was thought awesome in 2004
post #1064 of 9059

...PS3 came out in 2006, not 2004.  By then, I'm sure they at least had 2 GB RAM packages available.
