Well, El Corte Inglés is one of the, if not the biggest, retailers here in Spain, you can check their website anytime. Just google something like "Corte Ingles Momentum".

And yes, I'm new so what? Buying the Momentum like a month ago brought here in the first place. I have no big bucks to spend on hi-fi gear, so I'm constantly looking for deals and I consider this a major deal worth sharing .

No offence, but it's the little things like not posting this in the nearly 3 year old "Deals Thread" that set off the alarm bells.

New members and scammers don't know about the little habits and etiquette that older members have picked up on. 

Also I believe most of us Europeans here, having spent around 300 euros on these would find it difficult to believe 179 euros is legit. 

That's why I said "looks like" a scam. I didn't say it "is" one. 

No scam. It must have been a mistake on the site, as the price is back to 299€ by now.

Sennheiser does not allow discounting on this product.  Being that it is new, they are probably more diligent in enforcing this policy compared to the HD650 for instance.  My guess is the retailer just a received an email from Sennheiser and had to pull it down.

It would not have been.  Some dealers choose to do it anyway.  

The Future Shop up here in Canada has Senns on sale all the time.  I got my Momentums there for $100 off.  I don't think Sennheiser minds selling more product when the retailer is willing to take the hit, and I suspect the company may even be offering them some special deals.

This is not the case, and they do mind.  It was not a guess on my part.

That sounds like an issue with your source material. Do you hear it with other headphones?

I've seen the iPhone at least skip ahead if there is a problem with the file itself, but never skipping back... So I'd rather suggest a problem with the remote. Did you try to reproduce said problems with the straight cable?
