Im planning to purchase nt6 pro after reading alot of review,a/b about it............i was considering between 1plu2 and nt6 pro.......as far as i understand, the nt6pro extend better compared to 1plus2 in treble, about the same in bass(im a  treble-head).

my favourite iem was and still er4s eventhought i have the um miracle but um's sound-sig wasnt my cup of tea (too polite treble and warm, not so good @ mid's clarity).

I wound say beyer t1 is my best suited sound sig........stunning ss depth would be my 1st thing i love about this can, sparkle, extended treble within lush mid not by sacrificing its mid clarity, good bass quantity at high bass quality.

is the nt6pro is beyer t1 mini version?

sorry about my english :P

I discussed it with average joe and he told me, while NT6 seems like a ciem version of HD800, NT6 Pro is more like a ciem version of Beyer T1. I think this one would be an answer to your question.

Obviously don't expect the get the 100% same sound but what I understood is, their sound signatures are very similar.

If you are a treble head, I am sure NT6 Pro would satisfy you.

Having heard the T1 for the first time last Friday, I can say that there is a similarity in sound signature. However, I feel that the NT6pro has a blacker background, a touch more clarity, and a slightly more intimate signature. This is comparing using the DX90 and X5 as source. Source is very important to get the most out of the NT6pro (and the T1) as it scale both up and down very well. Just when you think you got all you get from the NT6pro, you find a new source that gets you more. Right now my favorite NT6pro source is the X5 which provides texture in spades that you can feel into your soul.

While the DAPs drive the T1 nicely, when moving to the desktop rigs the T1 was able to open a little wider and scale well. But unfortunately, I never did compare the NT6pro in the desktop setup to see how it scaled because this meet was really about desktops and comparing the top flight CANs including: the OPPO PM-1, HD800, HD650, HD600, T1, HE500, Fostex TH900, and my LCD2.

^ This

@Hotfever, the NT6 Pro also scales really well with better amplification, so make sure you pair it up with a quality amp, because if paired with a subpar amp, the quality of the nt6 pro will suffer noticeably. ymmv

Thankx alot for those helpful advice from you guys.

it is a shame that i sold my ibasso r10 already and plan of getting dx90 instead(due to it super-portability)

i forgot to ask about nt6pro's mid presentation...........how recessed it is? i know it is abit hard to explain because everyone has different definition of "recessed mid".........

In my case, i would already call miracle's mid "recessed",type of "recessed mid" that is out of my ideal sound-sig.....that 1 of the things that made me did not like miracle.

The beyer t1,i would say it is very very slightly "recessed-mid" but it is oftenly appeared to be right in the midle depent on songs,so im quite happy enjoying its mid.

I could swear there are different tunings of the Miracle out there, since mine were very, very definitely not mid-recessed.

Mids are always my main concern as that is where all the important action is at IMO so I set my volumes based on mid performance. I personally think that the NT6pro is perfectly balanced without anything getting in the way of anything else allowing the mids to shine and the details to flow. However, you can control the presentation with the source. The X5 makes the mids come forward a bit IMO providing a more intimate presentation while the DX90 is more neutral but places you further back from the stage.

From the graph, it appears the Pro extends a bit further than the non pro, but I have never heard the non pro NT6

It's also worth noting that extension may sometimes come at a price, if the tuning lifts the treble above neutral.

I wonder how good Rin's graphing rig and method is?  His graphs always looks terrible.    I saw Rin's graph of NT6, and it had more unevenness than the graphs Zach and tupac posted, but then again, Hidition as a former hearing aid maker probably has lots experience measuring and has more accurate tools.

I would say that in comparison to the NT 6, the NT 6 Pro has treble emphasis (high frequencies are louder relative to the midrange) rather than treble extension (reproduces a higher range of frequencies at a given volume).

SilverEars, regarding measurements done by Hidition, go through Rin's post again about Hidition - basically he is saying that although they were/are hearing aid company at the time of the post their measurement abilities were limited (maybe everything changed in the meantime).

Hmm, I wasa almost decided to buy Pro at the end of this year but after last posts and re-reading Pros review I'm thinking again about buying non-Pro. Why? Because I tend to think that Pro maybe a little bit too bright for me and that non-Pro maybe more natural and neutral from Pro. I have one question though - I was impressed by the very high rating ot bass rumble in Pro and can someone please tell me whether bass rumble exists in non-Pro and is very very good?or non-Pro is lacking much in this regard in comparison to Pro? Thanks for the answer.
