Portable amp for Ultrasone Signature Pro?

Im in doubt between the Fiio e11 and the Fiio e17. I already own the e11, but is it worth upgrading to the e17? Will I notice a significant difference. The amp in the e17 is slightly worst, but it's also a DAC which should improve the sound. Do you think it's worth upgrading? I will be using it with my iphone. I would also like to add that I don't own the signature pro yet.

I'm also interested in this question. I currently own the Fostex HP-P1 and am undecided between the Signature Pro and Beyer T5P to pair with it for portable use. Anybody out there have experience with the SigPro and Fostex combo?

Have the Sig Pros.

These are EASILY driven, and I really doubt you'll notice a difference between E11 or E17 UNLESS they are completely different signatures (i.e. one is more "fun" and boosts highs naturally and the other is not, etc.)

Tried my JDSLabs c421, Leckerton UHA-6SMKII and even through the Schiit Magni, the Sig Pros sounded essentially the same with the added characteristics for each amp (a bit brighter on the c421 and Magni, more "neutral-ish" on the Leckerton ... this compared to my home amp, Lehman BCL).

Basically, just get whichever you are more comfortable with and maybe even the one that has more customization (i.e. bass boost/treble boost/gain switches, etc.) in case you get other headphones which might take advantage of those switches.

Enjoy! ;-)

P.S. Never used the Sig Pros with Bass Boost and on Low Gain...
