Looking for closed back for use in busy city streets.

Was thinking of the Sennheiser HD449 as they're more over-the-ear rather than on ear such as HD25 or Beyer T50P - also not sure I want to spend quite as much as the HD25 or T50P for my first portable rig.

It's mostly to be used in London where I have to be for one day a week and have quite a bit of walking about to do whilst I'm down there - be nice to shut out a load of the background noise which as I'm getting older, seems to annoy me now :-/

I'm planning on using an iPod as DAP with perhaps a headamp such as iBasso D-Zero strapped to it but would be interested to hear other peoples opinions.

Heya,

Consider:

Beyer DT770

Brainwavz HM5 (FA003, NVX)

Vmoda LP2

Shure SRH840

Ultrasone PRO 750

AKG K550

Very best,
