Who can concentrate on audio gear when they announced the release of the new iPhone today.

As a true audiophile I really appreciate apples attention to detail in both style and functionality of their products. Nothing rushed to get it out. Very impressive company.

I'm still waiting for the iTV though.

The iPod touch & new Nano I find to be more interesting. The iPhone 5, not so much.

I have been waiting for the iPhone 5 for quite sometime as my 3GS is sick and feeble. Agreed the iPhone 5 enhancements are less than stellar but nevertheless I am looking forward to the upgrade.

I believe in your situation the new iPhone 5 will be an excellent upgrade. I don't think it fair if the 3GS is compared to it. Personally, I think you'll enjoy it immensely.

How about we go and think about the "if it ain't broke" argument where Apple has an award winning device who's user interface and usage have been tried and true for over half a decade. The improvements are subtle but are there. I can look at other phones on the market and sure, Mini HDMI out and etc etc. In the end, does it matter? Buy whatever the hell you want.

IMO the black edge is worth the upgrade alone. Full black...Mmmm...

They are sexy but my upgrade is next year :) Waiting for the ARM A15 Eagle to Endow itself into my phone.

I don't think I'll jump from my 4S.  Heck, I use my work supplied 4 most of the time.  From a 4 or 3GS - It should be a great upgrade.

It would be but I shall wait for A15 next year and more improvements, don't need to spend another $250 on the iPhone 5 in the sense of selling my 4S for $350

AT&T has been offering early upgrades. I'll be using mine for sure.

Was just reading up on apples new ear pods. I'm very curious to listen to them. I'd be pleased to see apple go more in the high end audio direction.

They owe us considering what they did with iTunes and the iPod.

Apple is the only company that can incrementally improve their own product and still be 'revolutionary'.

The iPhone 5 looks good, but it's only a few tweeks of what's been done before. 4 inch screen? Meh. LTE? Wow! Improved processor? OMG?

None of these features blows me away. Apple was light years beyond everyone else a few years ago. Now? They are just keeping up with the smartphone race.
