I'm getting the 5th gen iPod as soon as it is released, so I'll post a review when they come. I must say though, apple earbuds perform quite well for earbuds. Sure, their bass is dismal, but considering all the disadvantages of earbuds they do perform very well. It's unfair to compare them to IEMs. Apple's 2nd generation earbud is significantly better than their 1st generation earbud, so I expect their new "EarPods" to perform quite well.

Just pre-ordered my iPhone 5. So hoping to get it on the 21st... Hopefully the Earpods would be good. I'd love to use them on the gym...

Many critics about how fanboys fancy Beats, of apple products by default, but judging by the comments many people here (not everyone) seems to be influenced by brands and looks, even if negatively.

Most audiophiles enjoy the feeling of being special and elite. My fear is that feeling prevents us from enjoying (and positively reviewing) products for the masses like Beats and EarPods.

 

What I would like to see is more objectivity. How can there be so many people with semi formed opinions about the sound quality of some new-shaped earbuds without even listening to them?

It reminds me of that fake iphone 5 video where people like by default.

Haters are going to hate....
But i cant agree with the statment that an earbud is going to rival "high end" Headphones.

Can whe define HIGH END? HUNDREDS? Sorry, but thats a bold statment, that sounds more like a Apple FanBoy Calling.


Whe all know that it will be an improvment, i hope is a big improvement, but you cant say you are going to rival high end stuff with a 29 earbud and dont some laughs.

Time will tell.

Hopefully it's just some dummy who has just heard the S4 name sprinkled around hi-fi communities, and doesn't actually know how bad they sound. Otherwise, confused_face.gif....
