Loving the sound very much with my IE80s. Listening at very low volume and am still satisfied. I'm generally around volume 4. Sometimes as low as volume 2 and I'm getting all the detail.

More appropriate here,

I just got my studio 3rd anniversary, a bit of charging and a quick listen and it's already really good. I'm using GR10s with the stock FW and while it may add a bit of sparkle, there's no sibilance for me and the ambiance retrieval, openness and boogie is all there. This beats my RoCoo, stand alone Ipod and Sansa cold. I'm a bit of an odd bird as I'm extremely critical of home HiEnd kit but my expectations of portable are different as it can never sound real for me. This has a lot music, info, fun and openness. That's not to say it doesn't sound accurate. It does as much as anything else but there's excitement without it sounding overly hyped, or ringy. Hiss is there if I listen for it but a non-issue in use. I'm used to the interface and workarounds if needed but for now it's all good. If it smooths and fleshes out a bit, I wont complain but it's working quite well for me now as is.

NOTE: DO NOT CHANGE FW ON THIS UNIT. What's supplied is great and the others aren't as correct fot this model. What comes installed is not part of the update library.

I'm afraid to pair them then with my Edition 8 and hopefully the Sennheiser HD700.

They're both already on the bright side with sharper than usual treble.

On the other hand..  they will suit the HeirAudio 8.As well!!

Try it. I bet after breakin, it's fine. It's hard to go back.

Studio 3rd Anv has very high sound resolution, and very good highs energy performance. the extra highs freqence is seldom with the rest DAPs, so,at the beginning, some listener will feel it is bringt, in fact it is the merit of the player.

By the way, please be aware that belive or not, our players needed to be burn. after several hundred hours burned, the bass and highs will be tamed abit.

Of course the hiss level will be further diminished after the burning.

Please observe the phenomenon. Thanks.

I'm Very impressed with the Hisound Studio 3rd Anniversary. The music sounds so good, that I actually didn't play the newly released Guild Wars 2 at all yesterday lol.

This is a very good player and i was shocked when it drove my HD 650's last night. I am extremely happy with my purchase. just a tiny bit of hiss, but it's not even noticable unless you actually try to listen for it lol.

Thankyou Hisound Sponsor for letting me participate in this studio 3rd Anniversary Promotion. Also i want to get another Hisound player,

I want to mention that my FW warning may be a red hearing. I did a long reformat, reinstalled and everything seems fine now with stock Dynamic FW. Seems like it didn't 'take' the last time so unless we find out otherwise, all's good and it was just a glitch. That said, there is no reason to change. What it comes with is as good as it gets. Seems Lee likes Dynamic best as well and I think he's got the most experience with the modern HiSound players.
