If the ebay seller looks like a legit audio dealer that's another reassurance. If the deal is too good to be true though, then you should always be on guard no matter where you're buying it.

Alright, I will probably pull the trigger.  The price is the same as Amazon's listing at ~$430.

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but it looks from the picture that this headphone lacks the rubber bands. I have the original k701, and mine are totally stretched out. This doesn't really affect the sound or comfort, but it does look lame.

If you're talking about the elastics, it definitely still has them.

Yup. You're right. I guess in the other picture it wasn't so clear.

Has anyone found a good way to replace the worn out ones?

Interesting comments here...where are the elastics in the photo?  I ask because my Q701 has little "bumps" underneath the headband.  This is a nice feature. With regard to keeping the headband in good shape, I plan on using a leather balm on mine from time to time.  On various leather goods, I use Meltonian, and it works quite well.  It will even work on synthetic leathers.

I think I see the elastics now.  It appears they are on the sides.

I just looked at my Q701, and they have thin elastics on the sides.  I agree that they would look lame when worn out.

I replaced some on a AKG K400, but it's a pain in the butt to do.

If you know what length the headband needs to be for your head, you could probably also shove something above the sliders to keep them from moving up any further past a certain point.

Ordered :D  Looking forward to seeing how they compare with my Q701's!

Just placed an order. Will be here on Thursday.... very excited. I expect them to be great companions to the HE-400.

Has anyone noticed an odor coming off of the 702-65's pads?  Memory foam contains a number of chemicals, some of which may be bothersome to some.  My Q701's pads do not give off an odor, but I am concerned about the 702-65's pads.

Every piece of memory foam I ever had stunk out of the box. It seems to go away after a few days.

What you can do is put your 65th in the washing machine with some Borax. It does make them a bit brighter though.

Memory foam is about the last thing I would want in a headphone pad.

Anyone pair the anniversaries with either the portaphile 627, HM801 or a DX100?  Looking to upgrade from my E11 amp but would prefer something portable due to space constraints.
