Well Regulars, prepare your minds for some Japanese invasion, because, quite frankly, the source of this songs dictates that you would need to.


This song is about looking for your life partner (of sorts), a human life's worth and doing the rumba.


Exactly.

Quite repetitive with dancing in the lyrics, there's quite a lot of talk on what determines a human's worth, although never answering it, and just generally strong vocalists, both male and female. Still one of my all time favourite.

This one is a bit low quality sounding, but I deem it more important to have the lyrics in the video rather than going for a higher quality one and no lyrics. Click here if you want to delve deeper. Here be dragons though.

I just love the eerie feel it gives me. Just imagine MF giving a video tour of her darkest, most well kept headphone secret that we never knew about and she decided to share it with us. Exactly.

And this one is just pure comedic repetition. Imagine this scene: a very negative male teacher is being stalked by one of his female student being stalked by her ex being stalked by his new girlfriend being stalked by a middle aged man from that hostess bar she worked in being stalked by his wife being stalked by that perverted mailman. Exactly.


There's other songs I want to share, but either it's not apparent how repetitive it is since it's in moonspeak or the still image used for the song can get me into some people's block list LOL. Regarding the song with the latter criteria, if you guys can handle the three songs I posted, and are curious enough maybe I'll post the link (not embedding it LOL).

Thank you. I hope to continue succeeding in my education, as I'm sure you may expect from my previous posts. I've got some hard work to do for the next few years, huh?

 

Oh, and I finally thought of a good song for the playlist:

 

 

I chose this song because it establishes a phrase used in several other songs throughout the rest of the four-disc long soundtrack. The phrase itself, which becomes the main melody of some of these other songs, is quite repetitive as well. Finally, the Final Fantasy series as a whole allows this song to fit in well with the theme of Muppet's first playlist. Fourteen numbered titles, complete with what seems like a hundred spinoffs, make for a good example of repetition.

 

Yeah, our teacher definitely did not discourage questions. Though he did cover material very quickly, he also did his best to make the pace reasonable and manageable by high school students, including those without prior experience in chemistry courses (me). The only thing he expected us to do at home was to read notes on some of the less important sections of the class (the sections that were not found on the AP exam, for the most part, and would be taught in more detail in future chem courses). Oh, and homework problems, but being a standards-based class, I didn't do most of the homework. Especially since free response problems (the ones that the homework helped with) were my strong point on tests. I generally did worse on multiple choice my first time around until second semester started. Second semester was actually pretty easy for me, and I generally did really well on everything from that point.

 

I'm planning on going into electrical engineering. I may or may not have to take another chemistry course or two, but I won't have to go too far into it. It's more of a physics-based thing, as far as I've been told.

Wait, I missed it!  What did he not like?  I know he wasn't thrilled with the XBA1, but its still his back-up pair.

+1  Yes, good idea.  I'd drop the #mixtape though, as it seems somewhat redundant.  However, I think we should add the theme name as well so that we can do theme specific searches later on.  I've edited my submission post by adding #diarymixtape #repetition to it.  Hope that helps!

 

 

I'm game for anything.  Although I'd like to point out that I made a special effort with my submission to NOT eff with y'all... and to heed Romy's suggestion to be more creative. 

 

Okay wait a tick, exactly what are the rules on the number of submissions we get?  Because you just took up like three slots! 

 

Really, I would feel very good about either school. They're both pretty far away from home, both would offer an interesting new experience for me. Both of them offer a top-notch education. And if Rice offers a similar financial aid package to the one I described earlier, then each school will be more than affordable for me. It'll be a tough choice.

 

Edit: Of course, this is assuming Rice also accepts me. If they don't, then I'll be moving to Troy in a few months and won't think twice about it.

My first time was with the RE-Zeros, followed by the B2s. Fast forward a year and here I am. Completely satisfied with my collection. Unless you sell me yo LCD2 fo cheap :P

Hey james444, I don't imagine it will be hard tracking down the song, but the vid you posted in not viewable in the U.S. due to copyright reasons.  Would you be opposed to using the following vid for the youtube playlist that jgray has set up?

 

 

 

I can't imagine Rice declining after Rensselaer's acceptance, so I think that it's a choice you'll probably have to face.  It's probably unfathomable to you at this point, but Rice would afford you the flexibility to to alter your course of study if you find something else that interests you.  But then again, I suppose you could always transfer.  In any case, the world is fairly open to you at this point, and I'm happy for you! 

 

It's not totally unfathomable. It's gonna be a combination of finances (looking good so far), location and climate (New York vs Texas), and family connections (I have a cousin in Vermont as well as two brothers in Texas). I'm not sure what the final deciding factor will end up being for me, but to be honest, it doesn't matter too much. It's a matter of choosing between two right answers. There's no way I can mess this one up.

Well, there are some minor differences.  For example, Rice would allow you to blow off steam twice a month via Baker 13, and wouldn't require you to live on-campus in your sophomore year.  But I suppose those aren't really important in the grand scheme of things.

Ok here is my contribution to the theme of repetition. It is a song called "Candle Chant" by DJ Krush, a wonderful Japanese DJ / producer. You have a description of the tune at the begining (by the guy who raps on it). He qualifies it as : "an extremely heart calming wonderous loop". Nothing more to add...it is simple and repetitive yet soothing, and at the same time you feel to sorrow and anger in the lyrics.

 

 

Nice!  Between this and Kraftwerk, the mellow groove is being covered.  Actually, now that I think about it, we've got a pretty nice mix going in terms of the journey through moods. 

 

 

Can't wait!  Please no Tibetan Throat Singing...
