It was Gorb! I'm very happy with my Cinco Boy. He is just like a real boy. Only better.

 

Occasionally he stops by to check if I am happy with my new Cinco Boy. I just shake my head and he gives me a wave and a thumbs up.

Oh that place, yeah the guy who runs that channel on YT I'm keeping both my eyes on.  Supposedly he's going to be throwing up something new later on today. I'd keep an eye posted to see what the crazy freak is up to next.

Driver 8 needs to do more YouTube videos. His Flat-4 review is concise, informative and professional

I've just done some quick calculations Heir's production time is 4 to 6 weeks. They received my impressions in China on January 18th therefore as of this past Saturday it's officially 6 weeks. Of coarse there was also Chinese New Year to take into account so I'm keeping my fingers crossed I receive my shipping email sometime beginning of next week. Man I'm starting to get impatient. I shipped the impressions out to the USA offices and they received them the day before Xmas an it's the beginning of March and still nothing. I'm starting to regret not buying the rush order option. Makes me wonder if Unique Melody or Ultimate Ears has wait times as long as this.

A glance into Anime music:

One of the best collection of female vocals IMO, and one of the best songs to test gear with, and it's very enjoyable to boot.


watch it @1080p, it's pretty much the same as what I have locally. Disregard the Spanish lol, since this is the only HD one I can find on youtube.


Jazzy, very upbeat, there's lot of instruments going on in the background and foreground, and best of all it's not one of those grating typical anime voice too. Lustrous, relatively fast, upbeat, busy. Not as testing as a proper metal track can do for speed, but perfect to test imaging and how a driver can cope with such business in a song.

Also it's from one of the best anime I've seen, but I can't really recommend it to a lot of people since it needs a lot of commitment to watch it.

Also, I find it funny that that "review" mostly went unnoticed while people shat all over my TH900 one for being long and rambly. 

 

Next time I should just go "Yo! This is the BA and it's really good, aight!? It came in a box with a ****load of foam.  Driver 8, signing out!"

When I do my vids I act like a mute due to my overly salty sailor language lol. Since you're taking requests how about a nice vid of your listing station showing off your Balancing Act and your Bonzai tree with the TH900's gracefully hanging off a nice looking headphone stand. Maybe even add in a few observations concerning tubes and how the BA makes your cans sing.

That's precisely what I liked about it. It was quick and to the point. You condensed your primal feelings towards the phones into a no frills style of reviewing. It reminded me of Purrin's punk rock K3003 review - you come in expecting a dissertation on these phones, only to be met with, "I shoved 'em and shoved 'em in my ears and I didn't like 'em." It's hilarious and irreverent

Thats me as well. I find that swearing has virtually become embedded into my lexicon. It is inseparable from my manner of expression outside of this forum, where I've got to rein it in with every post :l One of these days I'm just gonna go out in a blaze of glory and F-bombs, Sam Jackson style

Lol I've been working on changing my language due to the work I do and it's greatly improved over the last couple of years. Even so sometimes when I'm not thinking I'll find myself being overly colorful when typing and having to go back and reedit everything before hitting the post icon.

Dude its harder to swear online than in real life. Except in real life when you do swear the consequences are greater than online. Like when you want to say sumthing real bad... hmmm~ okay so f, u, c,... you get the idea. Because our minds aren't wired to write strange words, so speaking it is easier.

Hmphhh, I'm working on a deal concerning a Q701. If it pans out AKG will be well represented in this head-fiers household. Now if I could just find a Sennheiser HD650 for around 275-300 I'd be a happy camper and could kick back a few months until I decide on a flagship.

It's more traditional to exchange watches than rings for the engagement in some cultures. My partner likes the plastic Swatch watches much more than high-end watches.

So when my partner and I got engaged, I bought us matching vintage transparent Swatch watches with gold mechanisms.


Instead of getting more, I would not be surprised if some day soon you'll begin considering cashing in a lot of those and replacing them with one or two high-end pieces each in the full-size and IEM categories. My craving to acquire all kinds of headphones tapered off once I had one really good one with a greater range of strengths, and for the past year I've done almost all my listening on only two or three. I intend to end this year with fewer headphones than I began it.

 

I've been giving it some thought actually. It's the main reason I've been trying to move my JVC and E q7 IEM's, to get rid of the bulk.

UPDATE:

 

Looks like it's official, I'm now the proud new owner of a black AKG Q701. I should have my new toy to drive the thread crazy with badly taken pics and videos in a couple of weeks or so. Now to hunt down a HD650. Anyone know any good deals on a 650?
