Okay, forget about the heels...something like this -
but a pen instead of a spoon. So much potential.
Nah, but the shoe thing is really smart. We have a few pairs with the heels chipped off so this opens up a whole new world of stationary storage.

And perhaps a limited-edition wingtips version for Mupps?
Anyone here a fan of the Venture Brothers? I see that a new season is starting in May. Hopefully with more Brock (and Orpheus) this time.
Oh wifey. You might be into knives... but I'm into guns

Not with my Allen Edmonds...
What's that you were saying?
Knife =/= sword. And sif you're as cool as mugen or jin.
I think you'd be surprised how often pens come up. Won't be long before we start talking about tea. I don't think tea has come up for a while now so it might be "due".
Under the hands of a master anything is possible.
Matcha everything. Matcha cakes, matcha shaved ice, matcha popcorn. A great travesty against my chineseness
Yay for bringing up tea.
chrysanthemum tea all day

People talk about pens and I never see my favorite mentioned so I'll drop it here:
Jet Pens is the only place in the U.S. that reliably stocks them -- Office supply stores here only sell the versions with tips that are 0.50mm and larger, and usually only in black, blue and red. $2.50 is kind of steep for a disposable pen (I got my brown-black pens at Kyobo in Seoul for, I think, $1.80-ish at the exchange rate of the time), but considering how fine the tip is, the ink reservoir lasts longer than you'd expect, so as long as you're not prone to losing pens it works out. You might prefer their clicky-pen retractible tip version if you're some kind of weirdo.
Those look fantastic little utensils, and right up my alley. Thanks for the tip.

I was "trained" on Rapidographs (http://www.kohinoorusa.com/products/pens/rapidograph/index.html) which are also nice.
Ugh, more choices. If I do decide to get a set, it'd be have to be sometime today since I won't have to actually wait for the buggers the whole week. I'd just order them, forget about it, come back after a week and pick them up.
I've never used Rotring, but I would assume that they are similar enough.
And if you're anything like me, xacto knives and erasing shields as well.
Gross stuff to be sure. I just assumed it was going to be put to something with a lot less bleed.
You don't absolutely have to. Once you get a good flow going, the angle isn't a deal breaker. But then again, having learned Chinese brush writing, I might tend to hold my pens a little straighter than the average Joe.
Tieguanyin and Da Hong Pao all the way
Though I'm liking melon seeds a lot these days. Prefer the stronger stuff which is why matcha on everything, but it's good to try new things.
Anyone want to make a wager on how many posts until we see Silent's gaiwan again?
i actually drink more coffee than tea. black of course~. something about those 3 expresso shots while i'm studying for midterms.
Gaiwans are pro.
Stomach has a bad reaction to caffine, so only really strong decaf.
Wanna try this http://shop.ippodo-tea.co.jp/kyoto/shopf/goods/index.html?ggcd=102044&cid=matcha
