Yeah, Ocharaku is delightfully esoteric. A lot of the naming schemes come across like marketing babble, but they've proven [to me, at least] that their engineering is brilliant.

My guess is Benedict decided to step down because he became frustrated between the old guard and new guard within the papacy. I just hope our next leader can finally break the old guard. I thought Benedict was a capable leader but the papacy has been crippled due to the internal power struggles.

Weird stuff!
I'm pretty sure a lot of people (catholics) here will start asking questions to the priests here... Just read that he felt it was time to step down due to health concerns. I don't see that as something bad, but it does makes you question a lot of things.
Also, wasn't someone (one of those bat-p00p-crazy "prophets) saying that after this pope things would start to go downhill for Catholics?!?

I wish I had more motivation to actually *do something* with my passion for audio. Like, even just enough to keep a blog going. Or finish one of the many articles I have sitting dormant on my hard drive.

Just take pretty pictures of all your gear? It's less effort than writing, unless you end up with an expensive photography hobby as well...

I've been dating a geologist.
*insert joke about how it rocks*
For the first time since breaking up, going on dates doesn't feel quite so awkward.
I express myself best through writing. I pretty much write all the time. It's just I'd like to be able to channel that free-floating energy into something productive related to this hobby. Between academic stuff and feeling burnt out on audio gear, it just doesn't really happen.

That Donguri looks like it's made from a pecan shell.
As for the Pope, it might have to do with all those pedo priests that have been outed over the past few years. He may have covered for some of them...
I'm taking-up reloading again. My Winchester is hungry, and ammo is scarce because of all the current hysteria. Even components are are disappearing rapidly: I just paid over $150 for primers! They use to be about $40.

With the Audeo brand being discontinued by Phonak, I picked up a pair of PFE112's. Any idea what I should expect when they arrive?

Hmm? I got it from the UK, and she even said it in my emails with her. Oh well, the important thing is that I have it my hands, I am liking it, and now, depending on how durable it is, will love it.
Will see about that but so far I can agree with you, especially the bass. So clean, yet so brain-massaging-y.
Oh, okay then, maybe not a small fortune. Mine were sent from a US distribution center, so I just assumed that they might have sent yours from the same location. BTW, if you're looking for a slightly more refined version of the MA350, you've got to try out the MA450i. From what I can tell, it is identical with only two differences: (a) an Apple remote; and (b) a filter on the end of the nozzle. But oh what a difference that filter makes! If the MA350 is a 16-year old teenager, the MA450i is more like an undergrad college student. Still exciting and lively, but with a little more maturity where it counts. It also tames the bass ever-so-slightly and prevents it from booming unnecessarily during bass heavy notes and passages (you know what I mean).
That nice to hear! Hope things go well.

Hey Romy, have you ever given any thought to making videos? Because of your profession, I can't imagine you having any issues with public speaking or being camera shy. And unless you type extraordinarily (i.e. superhumanly) fast, videos should take less of your time overall. I'm just mentioning that because spending less time and getting more done might make the entire experience a little less mundane on those days when you're not totally into it for whatever reason. Or am I reading this all wrong, and you're actually talking about doing something deeper and more behind-the-scenes?
