A wild TANK appears!
What should you do?
CAR-DRIVER used BRAKE! It is super effective!
Love it! If it weren't for the snow, it could be a slow speed chase across one of the L.A. Freeways...

Well, um, no. Actually, um, yes - it seems as the processing unit in tesla cards is also called tesla!
A Tesla is a graphics card that's been made for the technology that is called GPGPU. GPGPU means that the programmer, instead of starting new CPU threads, starts the same threads but within the GPU instead. DirectX in Windows is a way of doing GPGPU, or more precisely, DX can be used for it. Simply put.
Think of it like like you have a batch of calculations to make, because you've just made a program for calculating the length of all IEM cables. Now, this is something that is calculated normally with the CPU, but with GPGPU however, you could assign these calculations to the GPU instead.
The whole TFLOPS talk is extremely silly in more than a dozen ways though. I bet they haven't been changing the source code for Windows, because if they had, they were breaking rules and should await the dreaded wrath of the allmighty Microsoft. So basically what's left are the applications that could use GPGPU, and then we're talking about OSS. Having that said, there is no real reason why they should go to such overkill for a simple media server for audio-files (pun again).
4 TFLOPS is less than ONE GTX 690. Since it's a dual configuration, we're basically talking about a couple of GTX 660 in SLI.
4 TFLOPS is not the reason that this server is costing so much money.
Scammers are the reason that it's costing so much money.
Edit: after re-reading this post, it once again becomes apparent that I shouldn't try to explain anything at 6 am in the morning. I hope you understood at least something.
Nah, you're fine lol. Although you kinda lost me at the 4 tflops for the server = a lot of money and scammers part
Ah, alright!

Dog ears.....this is Head-Fi soldier, around these parts we get bat ear implants not dog ears. If that wasn't enough once people hit summit-fi they have their kids genetically spliced with bat DNA. Your hearing isn't considered audiophile grade hearing until you can hear the vibrations of the singers nose hairs.
I'd go "Bat!" Though, a playlist would prove daunting for either. And then: Digital or analog? Compressed or dynamic? Headphones
or speakers?
Well, you can run two GTX 680s in a SLI setup and it would net you more performance than what's in that server, and it would cost you about $900. Less if you're going through the used market. The fact of the matter is, none of the components in the server warrant the insane cost and as Combat previously stated, is overkill for the application in mind. I dunno, maybe some people out there need to buffer a week's worth of audio or something :l The "standard SSDs are in the stone age" statement is hilarious too

Thus far I'm digging the new Tegan & Sara, Heartthrob.
It definitely continues their trajectory into more straight-forward pop territory, subverting the edges that were still present on Sainthood despite the polish. It's Tegan and Sara at their most "commercial." I kind of hate that designator, but it's convenient here (plus it's less obnoxious than "accessible"). As a result I can understand the negative reaction it's solicited from some of their fans. To hear the twins now, something like So Jealous seems a million miles away sonically at first blush. Really though, the continuity with their older work is still there.
They really sound a lot like Uh Huh Her at times though.
Not my favorite track on the album. That would be "Goodbye, Goodbye," "Drove Me Wild," and "Now I'm All Messed Up."
From the RIM event. I'm curious if this platform is relevant yet:
"BlackBerry fans are recounting how they have lost sleep waiting for the BlackBerry 10 launch event."
"Today represents a new day in the history of BlackBerry."
"RIM is dropping its old brand and will now just be known as BlackBerry."

Dream on, they have a long uphill battle to reclaim lost mind/market share. If they think they can get consumer respect back overnight they have a shock coming their way
Since the thread has been talking tech for awhile whats everyone think of the new 128 GB iPad?
I don't know. Too expensive? But I think I have some thoughts about Microsoft's 64 GB Surface Pro which will only have 23 GB usable storage.
LOL!
Where does all that "bloat" comes from? I might need to check my Win8 install to see how many GB it takes.
It's about time they upped the storage but that's a lot of $$. Hopefully the Touch will also get this option.
How about, "if I wanted the full Windows OS I'd buy a regular laptop not a tablet with no space."
Am I close?

Another option is to buy a tablet with an SD slot add a 128 GB SD card. The SDXC standard supports up to 2 TB cards, though 512 GB is the biggest to be built for it so far.
