You say that like it's unusual, especially for the members of this thread. I spent ~$400 more than I could have, just to have a black HD800...

Maybe this is slightly off-topic, but I noticed many Head-Fi'ers have changed their avatar with a face of Jude Mansilla recently. Is this a mere coincidence, or some kind of fad, or an official Head-Fi event (with prizes)?

If they're going to sell headphones alone as well, does it mean that the headphone will be compatible with pre-existing electrostatic headphone amps made for Stax?

^^If these have a presentation like the 007 in terms of frequency response I can see myself buying these no question. I'm enjoying the HD800 but the fatigue... Lets just say my ears physically hurt... Needs Anax mod asap.
