Probably. I'm actually surprised no one's talking about the new Westone ADV "Adventure Series"... dynamic drivers, magnesium body, MMCX connectors, etc. Basically radically different from what Westone has ever done. I guess Westone themselves have been pretty hush hush about it, but here's a video from e-earphone that shows the new ADV line off pretty well during a tour of Westone's CES booth this year (beginning at around 0:40, if you want to listen to as little of the bad music as possible):

There was some interest in these here so I figured I'd post it.  If they're selling them online now why can't they just keep doing that later?  These aren't perishable like caviar and I don't need an ID to buy them, like wine. 

Did we know these have titanium drivers before?  How often is that done right?

So, I went to class on Monday because it was the first day and the professor was 20 minutes late.  I then went to the discussion section today to take a quiz and the TA didn't show up.  It's like this is Bizzaro Week or something.  With that in mind, I've been exercising, though, which is good.

I believe it's a presale price just to get enough money to ramp up for the initial production run. I don't think they had any VC funding. I was tempted but can't really afford it atm. :/ 

The only other Titanium drivers I know are in the TMA-1. There's potential there but the TMA-1's are tuned oddly.

All 3 of my Ultrasones have them, but I'd only call one of those not-funky (even though the Pro 750 is mostly okay.)

Did he call Tyll "Kyle" at the end?

The only headphone company to specifically stick to titanium-coated drivers is Ultrasone. Then again the diaphragm material by itself doesn't necessarily mean anything.

I learned a couple things about Ray Samuels' SR-71B amp today.

1. Now that I've got a new litz cable on the Hidition NT 6 Pro, I'm forced to reconsider my previous thoughts about its synergy with this amp. There's a lot more life to the music now -- I think might still prefer the Hidition through the UHA-6's current configuration, it's a close call. 
2. The SR-71B does a pretty good job driving the HE-6.

We'll be getting snow here soon. It's not the snow accumulation I'm worried about, it's the black ice that snow will become before the morning drive tomorrow. Looks like tomorrow's a telecommute day.

Also looks like I left one of my cable adaptors at work. Dangit.

And this is why I still like USPS better.

It'll be nice to finally get some real information concerning what the TH600 sounds like. For whatever reason I'm incredibly curious about those cans.

On the CIEM front the Heir appreciation thread continues to meander along and as you all know I'm anxiously awaiting my 4A to be finished. I originally ordered my pair in Black Mamba and asked for custom artwork on the face plates. The custom artwork was far to complex therefore I chose a nice wood finish of Buckeye Burl instead. I wasn't sure about the Buckeye Burl choice and nearly decided to go with matching Black Mamba face plates. The Wizard being a Wizard today threw up some sexy pics (as seen below) onto the thread showing off someones CIEM order. After seeing that pic I'm really happy I decided to go with the Buckeye Burl. I'm guessing that wood finish will look stunning with my choice of Black Mamba shells. Supposedly The Wizards favorite wood finish is Buckeye Burl. Makes me wonder if he'll throw up pics of my order up on the Heir Audio thread once it's finished. I hope my 4A's don't take much longer to be manufactured and really hope they fit when they finally arrive.

As you all may or may not remember during our group 2012 year in review posts I stated that for 2013 I would probably concentrate on getting myself some great sounding headphones. Well, it's only mid January but I've gotten off to a good start. I just finished discussing the final details with LFF and my T50rp's are being painted and will soon be modded over the next few weeks. Looks like I'm going to be the proud new owner of a pair of Paradox's in the near future.

In the miscellaneous this is pissing me off category as you all know I recently bought a small figurine off a certain eBay seller. It's been a few days and as of yet I still haven't gotten any shipping confirmation. The last time I talked to the seller he had indicated he would be posting little Eggzercist Monday at the latest. It's now late Thursday night and still nothing concerning shipping. I sent the guy an email yesterday politely asking if my figurine had been posted to me yet and so far no response. If I don't get a response or some sort of shipping confirmation from the seller by the end of next week I'm going to open a claim against him on PayPal. I'm really starting to get turned off by the less then honest people I have run across on eBay. I nearly got scammed by a hacker on there for headphones, I nearly got conned over a satellite receiver by some lying woman trying to pass off a used item as new and then lying about the model number and now this. I don't foresee myself doing to much business on there in the future. I'm sure there's enough honest people on there but the money hungry bad apples are ruining the site. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed little Eggzercist finally gets shipped out to me.

When did you order your 4As? I'm impatiently waiting for my 8As as well lol. They received my impressions at their China facility on the 24th of December ( I sent them out to the US facility December 4th). So by January 24th would be the 5 week deadline.....
