I have a Galaxy S3 and all I can say is bigger is better. I'm not gonna get the Yuga because the S3 is perfectly fine for me for now, but I'm glad that other companies are catching up with samsung. In two years when I upgrade it's gonna be awesome.

I'm running an LG Optimus.  It's just smart[phone] enough to not be declared legally stupid.  The office is offering me an iPhone5, but I'm not sure I want to live in an Apple ecosystem just yet.  So if this Sony fits my txt/email/web/app/audio needs, it's got me sold.

I might add the Grado RS1i and GR10's to my list of things to sell in the near future. I've always found the GR10 to be merit-less compared to every other IEM I own atm, but it was only after listening to the RS1i's for an extended period of time today that I realized I have no reason to keep them nor do I have a whole lot of appreciation for them as things.  I was using them as portable open headphones, but in that context there's little reason to use them over the SR80i's. I mean, they're not in the same league, but I don't really care when I'm riding my bike.

 

Speaking of which, I really wish my bike hadn't been stolen.  It was a black Specialized -- by far the nicest bike I've ever owned.  (This happened months ago and I've already done all the **** you're going to suggest I do; I'm just venting frustration here.)

2013 Head-Fi Agenda

 

I've decided to lay off all but substantial upgrades this year, which in my case means I won't be interested in anything but maybe going stats* or getting a much higher end DAC.  I enjoy collecting and exploring this stuff but am not in the best position to be doing so -- as I've more or less said elsewhere in these threads, my life's an unfocussed mess right now so I should be applying focus of some sort where ever I can.  I see this as doing such.

 

I've tried to stop buying before, but failed because I still had no idea what I was looking for in terms of sound and was therefore easily swayed.  I have a much better idea of that now though and a much better idea as to whose ears I can trust.  This past year was the first one since my joining where I've been consistently active, which entailed a lot of experimentation; as far as I'm concerned my Head-Fi journey is just beginning.

 

*It should be noted that I have no intention of selling off all my dynamic stuff if I do so.  I feel as though these two breeds of headphone could live side-by-side in this place + I always have at least 2 home rigs.

Well, my buddy decided to change his mind on the Sextette. Oh well easy come easy go. I'm sure another opportunity will one day pop up again.

 

Only in the sense that it might take me a second longer to decipher which word it might be.  Other than that brief inconvenience, it's fine with me personally.  On a side note, I am thrilled that the censors don't filter out Schiit.

Interesting... Looks like it's a standalone app and you have to paste the text into whatever app you're using, which limits its usefulness.

I hope Apple eventually liberalizes its policy on input methods; things like this are better reasons why than the ability to add T9 or Swype or such (as nice as those are), since accessibility is a more demanding matter than convenience is.

(Incidentally; when I bought my iPad at the Apple Store, my clerk was totally blind; he handled the entire transaction himself through a stock store-issued iPod Touch, only needing a colleague to validate my credit card since he couldn't confirm the signature himself. We chatted a little afterwards; he seems much happier using his iDevices than he had been with older proprietary devices for computing for the blind.)
