^The Claymore anime is pretty decent, though it diverges from the manga about halfway through. Theresa of the Faint Smile is my fave character from the show. In the manga, I like Godeye Galatea.

I would actually buy one of those. The idea is pretty nice. Just like those auto cooling cans.

Thought I might drop by here and say hi.
Hard to say how well the HD700s are selling globally, as we aren't the only headphone forum. It's rather like Japan -- what's popular over here is quite different. Quite a bit of stuff that is popular here is unknown or barely considered on other forums too.

Japan: I understood MF the first time she expressed. But appreciated her breaking it down all the same.
I've long lusted after Nakamichi, Shindo and other fine gears from the east and appreciate where some of these designers stood/stand with their vision.
Japan, cont'd: Also have a deep appreciation for the country bringing two very important institutions off of life-support - Jazz and High-end Vacuum Tube Amps.

Vintage Nakamichi cassette decks still command well over $1k here. I will never forget the model that, to avoid using lesser quality heads to allow both directions had a special system that had a special, round chamber in which the cassette was flipped instead. I've also encountered totally unknown japanese audio gear that was inexpensive but sounds utterly fantastic.
Since funds are tight and could probably be better served elsewhere in the system, I may jump on something small at first. Say, a 550 Dual Tracer or the storied '350.' I learned that the latter was at the forefront of custom car audio. And that mainstream high-end car audio only took off once the industry wrapped its head around and produced worthy power supplies for high-end amps in the mobile environment. Fosgate then Zapco (Zeff Advanced Products Co.) led the way with leading power supplies in their designs - mid to late '70's.
During this time, home audiophiles took to their cars and began modifying Nakamichi 350's and other professional field recorders - Crown, Marantz ect, for some of the cleanest front-ends of the time. So, I think I'll get a little bit of history and seek a '350' to add to my analog system - hook it up to my OTL tube amp.
Update: Wait!
I forgot ur half way 'round the world. I should have pointed out "Stateside..."

Hellsing Ultimate X is finally out. I'm really going to miss Alucard and company, though I really hated what became of Walter...
As for Claymore, I would love for it to get a reboot. It definitely deserves one.
Has anyone here watched "Lupin the III: A Woman Named Fujiko Mine"? It's fantastic, even if you're not really into Lupin. Fujiko is my new favorite "heroine"!
I find it kind of funny that you mentioned Lupin the III today. At the time I didn't really think much of it, until Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra played the theme on tonight's J-MELO. (they were featured)
The folks in charge of adapting the anime were actually extremely faithful through the majority of it, even down to emulating the art style of the manga. They had the utmost respect for the source material. The decision to change the ending was made because they only had so many episodes green-lit, so they wanted to wrap the series up after the assault on Pieta. Otherwise they would have just left the series on a rather unsatisfying note IMHO, which is what happened for instance with Deadman Wonderland. However they did leave the anime at a place where a sequel series could easily launch.
In the manga I really loved the stuff with the resurrected former number 1s. Hysteria the Elegant and Roxanne of Love and Hate had great personalities (Roxanne was like Ophelia on steroids). My favorite however was Cassandra the Dust Eater just because of her absolutely ridiculous technique and awakened form.
Double post action go!
